What He Loves
The Doctor loves many things about Rose Tyler.
Her quick thinking. Students pulling a prank of walking plastic in a department store basement? Hiding from a missile in a forgotten cupboard? Fantastic!
The ability to see the simplest solutions which he couldn't see right in front of him…
That even with her calm and collected exterior, she was still very much human – like when she would ask to see her mum after a particularly harsh adventure.
That his title and race never stopped her from challenging him – her doing so often stopped him from becoming a monster himself.
That even though pretty boys would often flood the place, she looked at him like she did to no one else…
But what the Doctor loved most about Rose was that she could be selfish enough to leave.
To leave her mother, Mickey, her friends…her life, and yet be willing to sacrifice herself for the lot of them, for the universe…just like him.
