In the late 1700s fleets have sailed from Great Britain to colonize on Australia. But on December 18th 1788, a settler whose name was Nicholas Crowder didn't like Australia, so he set off on a one-man voyage to Antarctica. There he met with the emperor penguins who in his opinion needed jobs to feed their families.
Later Santa Claus found out that he needed someone to do the job for the southern hemisphere. He was running low on power, until he only had enough to work for half of the earth, and feared that it would be easy for Krampus(the demon who would beat up the children that were too naughty for Santa to handle) to take over. Thus he found Old Nick in Antarctica and made him the Australian Santa. Santa sent Old Nick some reindeer to help, but they were a bit mistreated for Old Nick never had any experience with reindeer.
One of the reindeer was Rudolph's ancestor, who was badly mistreated by the others at the North Pole, where he kept his nose hidden from the others. He volunteered to go to the South Pole in an attempt to get away from it all, unfortunately when his nose was revealed at the South Pole he was told that he made a terrible mistake. There, the sun would never set during the Christmas season, so his shiny red nose was useless. Not only that, but at the North Pole it was always dark on Christmas, and he couldn't go back because it was on the other end of the earth. The reindeer hated him even more, and after he died, Old Nick would wear his scull as a hat.
So to this day, Old Nick would travel half the world to give presents to kids on his nice list, as for those on the naughty list, he would abduct them, and force them to work with the Penguins in his workshop at the South Pole. Six reindeer pull his sleigh, along with a red-nosed kangaroo with a horn tied to its head at the front. Old Nick didn't give for all of the kids in the southern hemisphere, as he has claimed a few areas in the northern hemisphere such as a town called Teufort in exchange for the northern Santa to claim a few parts of the southern like Sidney Australia.
Now remember kids, whether you live below the equator or in one of the few places above in which he has claimed, you'd better have been good this year or else you might have to "Work very hard" as he would say. In the meantime hang your stocking, set up your tree, and have a merry Christmas.
