Maximum Ride ONE-SHOT
We are on the run once again. We have just left the high school we were going to, the one near Anne's house. "I'm hungry, Max." I heard Nudge say.
"I know." I said. "We'll try to stop soon."
"Max." Angel said.
"What is it sweetie?" I answered.
"Someone is following us." Angel said. "They are really close by."
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes." Angel answered.
"We should probably rest anyways and see who it is." Fang said.
We land in some woods. "Hi, Max." The guy said. "It's nice to see you again."
Guess who it was. I'll bet you'll never guess. It's Sam. Remember the guy I went out with. He has wings like us. I had no idea.
"You have wings?" I ask.
"Yes," Sam answered. "Remember when I told you to hide?"
"Yeah," I said slowly.
"Well, I wanted to show you my wings." Sam said. "My sister has wings too."
"How do you know that you aren't trying to spy on us?" Fang asked.
"They aren't." Angel answered.
"We're just like you Max." Sam's sister said as she was coming down.
Who would have thought that Sam has wings just like us?
