Scyuky: I don't own inuyasha and his crew

Mimuri: Damn right you don't scy, don't hit me please

Mimuri: This story is going to be turned back over to Scyuky, my dear twin sister once she can get her account up. So for now enjoy her little story.

Scyuky: I'm not going to hit you yet Mimuri. The ningen would arrest me for killing you. Now on with the story!

Kagome's Last Stand

In the last battle against Naraku, Kikyou manages to hit him with a sacred arrow. However, in the process she gets badly wounded. Naraku tries to kill her in a last moment attempt, however Kagome takes the blow in order to save Kikyou's life. Naraku is destroyed as well.

Inuyasha comes, his eyes landing on Kikyou's momentarily forgotten form. The half-demon asks about Kagome's whereabouts, the priestess pointed to the fallen girls' lifeless body. "She gave her life for mine…" His eyes widen, and he rushes to her side, uttering her name desperately, attempting to wake her. Seeing the lifeless form in Inu-Yasha arms and the tears in his eyes Sango, Miroku, and Shippou look to Kikyou, asking her what happened. As she completed telling them, Shippou run to Kagome crying.

As Miroku bandages Kikyou's wounds Kouga approaches, drawn in by Naraku's scent. As his gaze lands on Inu-Yasha and Kagome, he yells at the top of his lungs "What did you do to my Kagome, you mutt!" A small growl escapes the half-demon's throat "I didn't do anything, you mangy wolf!"

"Then what happened!"

Kikyou suddenly stands "She… died protecting me…"

"I'll bring her back" Inu-Yasha mutters under his breath.

The wolf demon looks at him doubtfully. "…And just how do you plan on doing that, Mutt?"

"That doesn't concern you. I have a score to settle." He picks up Kagome and begins to leave; however Sango stopped him.

"We're coming with you!"

He shakes his head, not looking back at her "No, I have to do this on my own."

Miroku suddenly speaks up "Sango… Let him go."

Inu-Yasha then leaves them behind. On the way to find Sesshomaru, he begins to remember all the times he has spent with Kagome. He then begins to wonder why she gave her life to save Kikyou's. Suddenly he remembered the time when she said "No matter what happens I'll stand beside you, and I will do anything to make you happy."

He suddenly realizes that Kagome gave her life for Kikyou's because she had believed that Inu-Yasha still loved Kikyou. As he begins to beat himself up over it, he runs into Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru had been heading towards Inu-Yasha because he had been going to Naraku. Inuyasha suddenly looks to Sesshomaru. "Give me the Tetsaiga."

Sesshomaru raises an eyebrow at the half-demon. "I've already told you, little brother, you can never wield my Tetsaiga."

"I can always try!" He exclaimed, laying Kagome down gently, The brothers begin to fight. Inu-Yasha becomes wounded horribly and passes out. However, due to the Tetsaiga, Sesshomaru realizes he can't get through the barrier, so he leaves.

The other come as Inu-Yasha wakes up, Suddenly Inu-Yasha realizes that he can bring Kagome back using the Shikon Jewel, however Kouga still has the last two shards. Inu-Yasha stands suddenly "Kouga, give me the two Jewel Shards you posses!"

Kouga doesn't trust Inu-Yasha "No Way, Mutt!"

"I need the whole Shikon Jewel in order to save Kagome!"

"I don't trust you!"

Inu-Yasha is badly injured, but he won't allow anyone to help him. "Kouga if you care about Kagome, you'll give me those shards!"

"Fine, But I still don't trust you" Kouga then hands over the two shards.

Inu-Yasha places them with the other shards and forms the whole Shikon Jewel. He walks over, kneeling beside her, and inserted the jewel into her wound in her stomach. A few minutes pass and nothing happens, He holds her close and begins to cry.
