-AU- Humanity discovered their origin that was hidden from them for long. Created as a slave force for the precursors in the long past, could they discover their purpose in the wide galaxy? Would they fracture before the coming tide? Would they rise above the turmoil and become something that was written in their destiny?

AN: After listening to your comments and rereading the previous timeline I saw the shortcomings in it. I redesigned it using the old timeline as a guide.

This work based on Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed belong to their respective owners for I claim no ownership of it except for the OC's. This story contains only the history and lore from Assassin's Creed. None of the characters that appear in the games would make an appearance.

I wanted to make the Alliance look like a neutral faction but powerful in galactic affairs. I never liked how we were considerably weaker than the other races in the games despite the Alliance being shown as an aggressive militaristic entity.

Anyways heres the timeline before it all began.

March 2018

World tension at an all-time high as a new Cold War breaks out between four factions. The power blocks are formed between NATO countries, Russia along with their countries that seceded from the Soviet Union, India, Egypt and Brazil, China along with North Korea, Venezuela and Pakistan, Australia along with Japan, Philippines and the Micronesia. Other countries join these four blocks in order to keep afloat in the turmoil. The proxy war in Syria intensifies with several countries preparing for all-out war.

This was done according the plan enacted by the Templar Order to unify the world through the chaos. It was an operation several centuries in the making for it was the third time they were attempting it. The first two times known as the two world wars ended abruptly as the Assassin Brotherhood disrupted their plans ending the wars with unfavorable results for them.

August 2018

The tension has reached a boiling point. Syria is reduced to a battlefield where various factions duke it out through their proxies. Every minor victory for a faction is celebrated as it showed their dominance over the others.

An argument within the Templar High Council fractures it for the first time in several centuries. Though there had been several incidents like this in the past, this time two of the leading members withdrew their support for the war that they were creating. Knowing the aftermath of breaking away from the order they consolidate their holdings secretly transferring them to their children and hiding them away along with their most trusted accomplices. They take several actions in order to protect their legacies should they be terminated like the previous breakaways from the Order.

May 2019

The two Templar Councilmen are assassinated simultaneously by the Order to consolidate power amongst the remaining members of the Council. Though the number of councilmen are reduced to three they believe that the forces and assets under the deceased councilmen would return to their hands after the demise of the two.

To the surprise of the Templar Order the forces under the deceased councilmen breaks away from the Order completely eliminating all hostile members in their midst. The three surviving children each who had been groomed to rise to the position of their parents from their childhood prove extremely capable in following the final wishes of their parents. More than half of the scientific and research assets of the Order leaves Abstergo industries as they had been recruited and trained under the deposed councilmen.

The three heirs use these assets to form Prototype Technologies primarily focusing on genetics, nanotechnology, aerospace and computer technologies.

September 2019

The Order is in chaos due to the actions of the children of the overthrown Damien Night and Hadrian Grey. Aryan Night, Audrey and Ian Grey proceeds to use Templars' own tactics against them in a disturbingly successful way. Within half a year their company is stable and safe from any interference from Abstergo. Other than painting high value targets on their heads the Templars weren't able to hunt them as their resources had been stretched extremely thin with the fracture and most of their attention was demanded by the conflict they created. There is a lack of special operatives within their ranks.

Within the five months since their formation Prototype eliminated every single mole in their ranks sleeper or otherwise and also plant several of their own in Abstergo as spies and saboteurs.

October 2020

Many divisions within Abstergo comes to a full halt because of the lack of personnel and mainly due to several operations taken to cripple the organization.

Prototype also comes into public attention because of several high profile takeovers of well-known companies like SpaceX, Apple and General Electrics.

A permanent division is formed to look into human history which had been tampered by the Order to fit into their modus operandi. Another division is created directly under the command of Aryan Night to look in to the Precursors.

December 2020

The proxy war reaches a new height and all-out war breaks out between Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Israel, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Iran. During the initial stages a coalition is formed between Israel and Turkey. But few weeks into the conflict the agreement is torn down and the whole region descends into anarchy.

The countries backing and supporting these nations prepare their troops for combat at moment's notice. The support and aid provided by them fans the flames of conflict even higher. The supply of crude oil drops to a new low because of the open conflict and the world heads into an energy crisis. Uprisings are noted in several countries due to the lack of fuel for their daily needs.

January 2021

The New year is subdued by the ongoing war. After years of heightened tension Russia invades Turkey and Ukraine with no warning. The proxy war turns into a full confrontation as the EU rushes to help its trading partner Ukraine and its member Turkey. Every servicemen is called for duty to halt the Russian invasion.

In response to the threats made by Cuba, USA invades the island. Their aim is to take control of the entire Caribbean Islands to consolidate their power in the Atlantic Ocean. Mexico gathers its forces at the borders in case of an invasion from the North.

After keeping silent for more than a year, the Assassin Brotherhood becomes active taking down many known Templar assets crippling the Order's operations. Prototype sees a chance to further damage the Order and draws plans to make the Order and the Brotherhood deplete their forces before they move in and destroy the two warring factions.

February 2021

The fighting spreads in Asia. Pakistan and India renew their historic war for Kashmir. China joins the fray when they claim a large part of the disputed land towards the Himalayas. China also tries to seize control of the South China sea by force which prompts the Philippines and Japan to engage the Chinese Navy. Australia supports its partners to suppress the Chinese expansion.

North Korea invades South Korea but they are halted in their tracks due to the preparedness of South Korea. Other than blind shelling of Seoul which was minimized through the new air defense system installed by its ally USA the Northern d=forces are sent into a meat grinder set by the South. Using superior weapons and placements the war is halted into a border war.

Argentina seizes control of the Falkland Islands. The countries surrounding Brazil all form an alliance and invade Brazil after tolerating years of injustice from its larger neighbor.

March 2021

Prototype releases information of several key members of the Templar Order that had evaded the notice of the Brotherhood. Despite trying their best they are all assassinated within the month dealing a harsh blow to the Order. For the first time in several centuries one of the members of the Templar High Council is assassinated.

The Order knows that the children of their deceased colleagues were behind the leak. But they don't have any resources to handle the situation as their numbers grow thinner by the month.

During this shadow war a large number of Assassins and Templars lose their lives harming the core foundations of both orders.

Surprisingly the UN manages to keep the conflict from spiraling down into total annihilation. All countries possessing nuclear weapons are demanded to disable their stockpiles. Despite the demand only about 90% of the total warheads on earth are believed to be disposed.

May 4th, 2021

A team of agents belonging to Prototype break into the Templar Headquarters in France and steals every scrap of data along with the entire treasury the Order had managed to gather over the years. The haul includes several Pieces of Eden that were under study. They plant evidence pointing at the Brotherhood for the deed.

May 2021

After the infamous theft many scientists who were under the payroll of Abstergo are poached by Prototype rapidly. This reduces Abstergo's window to plant moles in these poached members.

Abstergo Entertainment, Abstergo Archives and Abstergo Pharmaceutical go under within the moth. Other Abstergo subsidiaries hang on the brink of bankruptcy and understaffing.

With this massive blow the Templars focus all their energy on their agents and geopolitical power halting their scientific endeavors. Though they are aware of the culprits behind the break in they have to focus their attention on the Assassins as they are the faction that was warring against them openly.

July 2021

After a brutal conflict between the Brotherhood and the Order, the Brotherhood fractures and a faction led by William Miles the deposed Grandmaster of the Brotherhood contacts Prototype to cooperate with the famed company. The Assassins who broke away from the Brotherhood continue their suicide war against the Order.

After a series of discussions, the two factions meld into one. The result is called Cerberus; an organization with the primary focus on the survival and the continuation of the human race. The agents of Prototype and the Assassins make a list of all high value targets within the Order to take down in quick succession to bring the war to a halt. This includes several politicians who were fanning the flames of war.

July 2021

The casualty count is staggering. With the war being fought on metropolitan areas, relief workers don't have much time to evacuate the noncombatants. As a result, all capable young men takes arms against the invaders bringing more harm to the civilians. The blatant disregard for human life and the excessive war crimes multiplies the projected civilian casualties by four fold.

Humanitarian services are unable to keep up with the influx of casualties and refugees.

The war has spiraled out of control and the Templar Order actively tries to bring it to an end seeing that it is causing the opposite of what they had in mind. Yet the momentum couldn't be curbed as the war rages on.

August 23, 2021

Operation Hammerfall commences. In a series of quick assassinations, the individuals who were keeping the conflict alive are terminated. Everybody who had something to gain out of the war too are assassinated.

Within two weeks the war halts and the countries descend into civil war. The civilian populace who were forced into the conflict takes arms against their governments and a new conflict arises.

Cerberus releases all details pertaining to the war with proof pointing and highlighting the individuals who were responsible for the war.

December 2021

The governments collapse as their own people start to massacre the people in power. Soldiers shoot their Generals, desk workers turn on their superiors. Within a span of two months every single individual responsible for the largest tragedy in human history are removed from its pages permanently.

When news of the remaining Templar Order resurfaces under the guise of warmongers, they too are dealt with swiftly. None of the Order and the offshoot of the Brotherhood survive the fallout as they fell to the public fury. Thus the Order known as the Templars which had a history panning several millennia came to an end. The irony was their goal would be accomplished. But none of them would live to see it achieved.

February 2022

Countries try to get a semblance of order back but the distrust the public have for the surviving politicians forces new elections to be held. Even the few politicians who escaped the public fury are disgraced and shunned from public service.

With the world in shambles, religions try to consolidate their power. They use the mistrust amongst people for their benefit rising the tensions between various ethnicities once again.

March 15th, 2022

Cerberus releases classified details regarding the religions of the world. The public is shocked to learn of the atrocities these institutions of the god took part in in the name of god. The fact that they were hiding the truth behind 'god', which happened to be an alien race infuriates the populous. Cerberus doesn't even need to take action as the humans band together to take action against these oppressive religions. The conflict that ensued was short and brutal. All religions are stripped of their power and their holding on the human race. Only the few philosophies of the word survive the backlash.

October 2022

The countries focus on reclaim land and consolidating their power. The death toll is finally publicized. The population that exceeded seven billion is reduced to four. Large swaths of land had to be abandoned due to this abrupt depopulation.

November 2022

With the purpose of uniting humanity under one banner Cerberus make plans to create a world government.

January 3rd 2023

World leaders finally gather in one location after the war. With their civilians baying for a unified government they engage in talks to create a world government. The talk goes on for months and it results in the Alliance Charter.

July 14th 2023

The Alliance Charter is finally ratified. The new government named the Alliance, which stated the unity of its people is celebrated by humanity. Isabelle Farside is elected to be the First Chancellor of the Alliance. She appoints the old headquarters of the UN in New York to be the High Council of the Alliance until they manage to build something new.

August 2023

Because of the devastation caused by the war, the Alliance High Council votes to concentrate the civil population into several metropolitan areas for the ease of administration. The loss of life is felt not only by the humans. Nature too takes a huge blow due to the war. Since the Charter itself states that humanity's duty to the world they live in many areas are left for the nature to reclaim.

The population is planned to be shifted into mega cities with settlement in rural areas. Large scale construction begins almost immediately. Every single abled body is put to use to build the future homes of the human race. Until the construction ends most of the survivors would have to live in temporary shelters.

November 2023

The Alliance and Cerberus comes to an understanding. The High Council of the Alliance were aware of the existence of Cerberus prior to this meeting since it was them who had placed them in power after the civil wars.

Cerberus would become the guardians of the human race that stayed in the shadows. The Alliance would have no oversight into the organization but the Cerberus would have a representative in the High Council directly under the Chancellor to keep the leader of humanity updated. Ian Grey is appointed as the Arbiter; the representative of Cerberus.

Cerberus also manages to obtain several pieces of land they believe to contain Precursor vaults. The team led by Aryan were already aware of these sights during the war when they uncovered a Precursor ruin in Cambodia. This ruin details every vault the Precursors had on earth. The ruin was uncovered as a result of a fluke. But it became one of the heavily guarded assets of Prototype during the war.

January 2023

The new year is celebrated with a subdued atmosphere. Most of the families had lost at least one member to the war which came to be known as the End War. It was named the End War to state that humanity is done fighting amongst themselves.

The new year speech by the Chancellor is widely applauded as it emphasized unity and equality. Chancellor Farside went as far as to beg to put aside their differences and work together since they were all children of the same mother despite their outer appearance.

The building of the new megacities is going forward as planned. The enthusiasm of the workers puts the constructions ahead of schedule.

Cerberus is busy constructing the necessary facilities on top of the vaults in New Zealand, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Guatemala, Argentina and Iceland.

August 2023

The world faces a new problem as the necessity of energy climaxes again. Scientists scramble to find alternative sources of energy as the Alliance Charter emphasizes on cleaner energy sources.

April 2026

The first of the new megacities finished construction in Vancouver. The surrounding population is shifted to the new dwellings. The rest of the mega cities of the first phase are in the final phase of construction.

The buildings of this megacity are lined with solar panels to generate electricity. This makes it completely independent of the energy grid unless there is no sun. The entire city is filled with greenery to reduce the carbon footprint. A nuclear plant is proposed as a backup for the city.

A food shortage forces humans to rationing the food supply until a solution is found.

September 2026

A team of scientists come up with a theoretical nuclear fusion plant after years of calculations and computations. It is based on a failed design they found in an abandoned research center belonging to the former US. With the plans looking sound, the Alliance greenlights one reactor to be built in the Atacama Desert.

Aryan Night marries Audrey Grey forming an unshakable power within the Cerberus. The union of these two powerful houses is kept hidden from the public.

December 2026

After many deliberations amongst their members and the Alliance High Council, Cerberus releases the truth about the origin of the human race. Humanity is a slave race created for cheap labor for a technologically superior race called the Isu also known as the Precursors. Humanity is shocked at the revelation.

Prior to this revelation the Central Vault in Turin is cleared out of all technology and is unveiled with the revelation. Reporters and journalists rush to the site to bring the news to their viewers as they had formed several factions after hearing about the Isu.

With the evidence of the Turin vault humans band even closer as they feared the unknown. They are humbled when they finally digest the truth that they were worth less than ants for their mother race.

The Central Vault is recognized as a location of Cultural Heritage and is open to the public.

January 2027

The remaining mega cities of the first phase come online one after the other. It solves the problem of shelter as they are able to home almost all of the displaced victims of war. The government begins the next phase since they want the human population to be centralized rather than spread haphazardly all around the planet.

The Precursor Vault in Sweden comes online.

Ian Grey marries Christina Farside, the daughter of Chancellor Farside creating a political dynasty that was unshakable. The other parties within the Alliance looks up to this union for they knew that it was the Grey and Night alliance that brought the world to a new era.

February 2028

The Sri Lankan Vault comes online. Cerberus celebrates when it finds out that this particular vault was the data repository of the Precursors. Every bit of scrap data they found was stored in this massive facility which dwarves the Central Vault of Turin by about tenfold. The facility is named the Library. Its heavily guarded with only the approved individuals from within Cerberus having permission to enter.

Data mining begins immediately to find solutions for the problems they were facing right now. It proves to be an arduous task since there are quintillions worth of data points to go through when they search for a specific query.

November 2028

The first prototype fusion plants come online after thousands of man-hours of work. It is built in a temporary facility to look into its functioning. It functions just like it was theorized. The Alliance orders a hundred and twenty fusion plants to be built all around the world. Most of them are tied in with a megacity to provide backup power. The prototype fusion plant is removed from the desert and transported to another location for a revamp.

January 2029

Electric cars have finally outnumbered vehicles with internal combustion engines. Almost all manufacturers focus on electric cars due to the strict laws brought forth by the Alliance. They expect to stop producing gasoline powered vehicles within the year.

Cerberus finally isolates the problem behind humans' weakness against the Pieces of Eden. Turns out the Precursors planted a neurotransmitter inside the human genome so that they could control the slave race they created using the Pieces of Eden. A new section within Cerberus is created to isolate and diffuse this neurotransmitter. Another group is created to work side by side with this group to decode DNA in general.

The branch of Cerberus created to look into human history is publicized and several key historians, cultural analysts, sociologists join to untangle the web of lies created by the Templar Order. They utilize the infamous animus to seek the truth through the eyes of their ancestors. It also creates the opportunity to recover the surviving Pieces of Eden which survived the downfall of the Isu.

April 2031

Cerberus finally manages to decode the Precursor language. It makes mining data easier and faster. Knowing the vital problems they faced they search the archive for solutions to nuclear fusion, deforestation, food production, etc. Some of the solutions within the archive are far away into the future. They have to put these ideas on ice for the moment and focus on short term solutions.

It is believed that the data from this repository would jump human technology by two millennia.

July 2031

Every human now has a permanent home. The massive construction project comes to an end but the labor force is diverted to other projects like the nuclear fusion plants. Many are shifted to agriculture to increase the food stock at hand.

Reforestation begins in the areas where natural forests had been exploited wantonly. Several cloning facilities are planned to bring back the species that went extinct or on the verge of extinction due to the war.

September 2031

The Sahara Desert becomes the focus of terraforming following the methods they found in the Library. The method they utilize is crude and simple when compared to the full scale terraforming projects the Isu enacted which were mentioned in the Library.

March 2043

Human population on a climb as incentives were given for multiple births after the war. The current census shows it at 5.2 billion.

Sahara is finally turned into a green grassland after years of work. The entire area is to be cultivated. It will serve as the breadbasket of the earth.

April 2043

After years of work the human genome is finally decoded. Cerberus works on a fix for the neurotransmitter while other forces working alongside the team focusses on genetic ailments.

June 2043

The first Chancellor of the Alliance resigns from her post after serving for twenty years. This was unsurprising as she was loved by all. She was even asked to continue her duty by the civilians through a public poll. She instead nominates her daughter to the post. The election on the following weeks approves Christina to be the second chancellor following her mother's footsteps with an overwhelming majority.

Equipped with the knowledge from Cerberus Christina saw that the future of mankind laid in the stars. So she begins taking steps to bolster the Space Industry which had come to an abrupt stop after the war.

She begins taking steps to conjoin the Air Force, Navy and the Marines into a single entity called the Alliance Navy. The Marines Core is created to be the ground troops of the Alliance Navy. The Alliance Army is further specialized for planetary defense.

October 2043

A 'gene patch' is created to cease most of the genetic disorders and cancers. This genemod also slows down the signs of aging drastically. Even in your sixties you would look like you were thirty after the application. Of course it doesn't reverse aging as it only applies to the young who were in the process of going through these changes.

The genemod is distributed to all hospitals for free distribution. It is estimated that every human would be 'upgraded' within half a year.

The first quantum computer is unveiled. This machine the size of a mobile phone is more powerful than the fastest supercomputer in operation. The blueprint of creating the base model is released publically by Cerberus to take advantage of the private companies to create them en-masse. The design which had been eluding humans for years is solved when the technology behind it is revealed from the Library.

February 2044

With the first genemod being a success, scientists look into further increasing the capability of the human genome. This bring the Alliance to ratify laws to the extent the genome could be altered. The Mendel Convection prohibits creating new life by splicing several species together. Only the existing genetic code could be altered. But the extent of the changes cannot be so drastic that its completely different form the original strand.

May 2044

The Chancellor announces that the rebuilding is finally over. It had taken over twenty years for them to get the world back to the way it was. The reason it took so long was because of the policies within the Alliance Charter. Had they followed the methods of the old world, they would have finished this process in less than five years.

After years of work, the cloning facilities starts to repopulate the endemic species of earth. Every species in the recent history that were eradicated due to human activity is on the list to be restored. The endangered species are at the foremost for repopulation.

June 2044

The assembly in charge of decoding human history finally publicizes their findings shocking the entire planet. Their entire history is marred by a shadow war between two factions ever since they got their freedom from the Precursors. Further study is demanded by the Alliance seeing the surge of interest of the actual history by the citizens of the Alliance.

March 2045

The neurotransmitter is finally defused. A genemod is released to the public that 'fixes' the problem. It is released as a regular genetic mod since they didn't want the public to panic on this matter.

With it out of the way Cerberus finally begins to unravel the technology behind the Pieces of Eden without worry.

September 2045

An emergency meeting is called out by the High Council. Various key personnel in prominent fields are invited to attend. The meeting is about a startling discovery Cerberus discovered in the Library.

Cerberus was able to find out that the Precursors had extra galactic origins when they were searching for the history of their creators. The Isu had started to colonize the Milky Way about a hundred and fifty thousand years ago. Not long after they started this endeavor they were attacked by another race which gave them no quarter or explanation. The Isu fell back to an isolated cluster within the Orion Arm of the galaxy. The majority of the colonists died to seal this space off from the 'space squids'. Luckily they managed to keep their technology off the hands of this aggressive race by utilizing Deadman triggers and other methods. After this incident, the Isu had lost contact with their home galaxy and were forced to stay land bound until their numbers were high enough.

They settled on earth and started to create a new civilization. The low birthrates of the Precursors forced them to create a subservient race for manual labor. They were aware of what came next.

Seeing the rise of the number of citizens exponentially due to the benefits offered for multiple births, the Alliance knew that they had to deal with this hostile race once they leave the cradle of their home world. They agreed upon a plan for colonization that wouldn't stretch their numbers too thin while providing the maximum security for their core world which they knew were isolated from this aggressive race from the records of the Library. They also agreed upon a strong naval force that could withstand any attack.

May 2046

Using the quantum computers as a basis, a company is found to be actively developing AI despite the bans within the Alliance Laws. These scientists are apprehended and transferred to Cerberus. They are utilized to create advanced VI.

This incident forces the Alliance to bring laws to have government oversight in all private companies. This is to keep track of all the details going on within that firm. It also made the government a silent partner with the right to offer advice and fund various research programs. The government cannot seize control of these private firms unless they were engaging in acts that would harm the human civilization. This was done to prevent new technologies form being hidden until the companies knew it was the optimal time to rake in a hefty profit.

July 22nd 2046

Humans return to the moon using a reusable rocket system. Plans are approved for a permanent lunar base.

August 2nd 2046

A mission is launched to Mars shortly after the successful lunar landing.

September 2046

Construction of the Armstrong Settlement on the Lunar surface begins. Material and labor is transported by rocket. The settlement is divided into three bases; The Lunar Dry dock, The Lunar Naval Outpost and Base Kennedy.

January 2047

Plans to harvest the asteroid belt for resources are approved. This is done to prevent the exhaustion of the resources on the settled planets beyond their breaking point. The alliance calls for designs on asteroid harvesters and many design concepts emerge.

March 2048

Cerberus unveils 'Gravitron 1', the first Mass Effect Core. The plans for this feat of engineering is discovered in the Library while they were searching for clues on to the radioactive substance they found in the Icelandic Vault. It turns out to be a material known as Element Zero or Eezo for short which had the ability to alter the mass of an object within its sphere of influence when a current is run through it.

This invention solves the all-time problem regarding FTL. The basic blueprints and the math behind the phenomenon is released to the public so that the entire industrial might of the human race could participate in creating their future in the stars.

A new problem arises when it is discovered that the earth is an eezo dry planet. The available supply is rationed until a new source could be found.

All new rocket designs are scrapped as the Alliance scramble to create ships with this new technology.

November 2048

The Mars expedition touches Martian soil. The Alliance flag finally flies over the barren red planet which had been a point of fascination for mankind since the era of telescopes.

The Alliance approves an outpost and a settlement to be built.

April 2052

After a focused effort, the Alliance unveils its first Mass Effect Drive equipped ship. The vessel designated SSV Isabelle Farside, after the widely loved First Chancellor of the Alliance is 280m long. The Alliance classifies it as a frigate. The ship is purely a scientific craft built to test the new technologies.

While the frigate was in design, the Alliance had accelerated the construction of the dry dock on the moon. Construction of spacecraft on the earth's surface is less productive when building ships exceeding a 100m in length. The five completed berths at the Lunar Dry Dock is already close to finish completing five new Farside class frigates.

May 1st 2052

SSV Isabelle Farside commences its maiden voyage. The ship ravels to the edge of the solar system in an hour, faster than light as it takes light 5.3 hours to travel to Pluto from the sun. The entire voyage is broadcasted and humanity celebrates is first long distance space flight.

The ship continues to circumnavigate to Sol System before returning to earth.

October 2052

To the delight of the Alliance scientists, it is discovered that Ceres, the dwarf planet in the asteroid belt is actually extremely rich in Element Zero.

A mining camp is immediately approved and the Alliance begins transport of material within the month.

A plan is proposed to use the dwarf planet Vesta as the base for all mining operations in the asteroid belt is approved. Many companies rush to obtain permits for asteroid mining. The plans for old asteroid harvesting such as asteroid harpooning is abandoned.

February 2052

The five frigates come out production. They are used to transport materials to the asteroid belt to establish mining outposts, complete building and expanding the Lunar Settlement, begin creating the Martian Settlement and exploring the Sol System.

The lack of crafts prompts the Alliance into putting their ship production into overdrive. The dry docks on earth are designated to create the newly approved corvette class vessels along with space fighters.

June 2056

The first report of individual born with telekinetic abilities prop up. After much research it is found that these individuals have eezo nodes within their nervous systems. The research reveals that these individuals were exposed to high amount of eezo radiation while they were in womb. Only one in three such individuals survive as others develop fatal disorders.

A program is created to hone the skills of these individuals and find new ways increase their numbers.

Janaury 2062

After a decade of rapid expansion, the Armstrong Base on the moon is nearing completion. The population on the Lunar surface hits one million. This is mostly scientists, engineers and workers of the dry docks and the scientific outpost. The Navy maintains a detachment of marines for safety while using the facilities to train future marines.

The Lunar Dry Dock begins its fourth phase of expansion. The current facility has the ability to build 18 frigate class vessels side by side. Half of these are allocated for the Navy and the others are rented out to various private firms.

Martian settlement, the Lowell City nears completion as well. The population in this domed settlement hits ten million since many are drawn for the adventure and opportunities this new planet presented. Five other settlements are approved for construction.

The mining of the asteroid belt is done fervently. The eezo from Ceres, Pallas and Hygiea enables all the research into the mass effect technology. The raw material from the other mining outposts are depleted as soon as they are stored in the warehouses by the ship building industry. The asteroid mining industry is expanded daily to facilitate this whale of an industry.

Several private holdings make their way into the ship building industry. Their focus is on mining vessels, civilian transport, cargo freighters, etc. These vessels reduce the burden on the Alliance. Within the decade all conventional air transport is replaced by newer planes with mass effect tech reducing the cost and the time required for cross country travel.

The entirety of Sol Sytem is scouted. The Jovian Settlements are approved.

April 2062

The Navy sees the requirement of a Space Dock if they want to possess ships beyond frigate weight. When it is brought forth to the Alliance, Cerberus unveils plans for a new space settlement. The design shocks and awes the Council and the Military as it is a halo built around the planet. Cerberus reveals that this halo, named Alterra would be the final line of defence of their planet and also act as the transit between space and earth. Alterra is connected to earth by seven space elevators. Alterra would also have the capability of building vessels with larger displacements.

In this meeting Cerberus hands over a new weapon design called the Magnetohydrodynamic Cannon which shoots a stream of hot molten metal at a fraction of light speed. The weapon system is named Arclight. It is an effective improvement over the mass effect canons they have equipped on the frigates which uses rail gun technology coupled with mass effect fields.

After many rounds of talks construction of Alterra is approved. All other projects are put to the sidelines making this massive construct the primary focus of all humans. It is estimated tht it would take more than fifty years for the completion. Until it is completed extra solar exploration is put on ice.

September 2062

There are reports on humans with the ability to communicate with their minds at short distance. Cerberus mobilizes to find the cause as more and more incidents like this pop out.

March 2063

It is found that the genemod introduced to counter the neurotransmitter had mutated creating a psionic network among the humans. Several tiers of this ability is discovered with the most individuals with the most powerful psionic ability being inducted into Cerberus.

Through this psionic network they are able to transmit thoughts and feelings which are more expressive than words. It brings humans even further and this sense of belonging drastically reduce the crime rates.

Scientists look into ways to increase the range of this network to span the globe as the weaker tiers are only able to communicate within a range of three kilometers.

July 2069

A previously unknown company unveils construction bots. These humanoid machines about a feet in height are able to cut down construction cost and time by over 342%. Ariake Tech becomes a massive conglomerate overnight and licenses are distributed for mass production of the bots. This creates a cheap labor force that can do all kinds of engineering feats without rest.

With the introduction of the construction bots it is estimated that Alterra would near completion within fifteen years.

Military looks into ways to utilize these disposable work force to their advantage in warfare. Tenders are called for robotic soldiers.

September 2069

The precursor Shroud is finally reverse engineered. It is hailed as the greates medical breakthrough of mankind since theis technology allows a man who was one the verge of dying to live his full lifespan.

February 2070

The Precursor genome is finally cracked. Using the similarities between the two races a genetic treatment is introduced to bring the recessive Isu genes to the forefront. The Isu DNA which only counted for about 0.002% of the human DNA is increased to almost 10%. This brings out the full potential of the human race.

September 2070

The results of the new genemod is visibly seen. Human have eveolved into their next stage, the Home sapiens reformatus is the final product the Isu were palnning. The resulting human is expected to have a lifespan of upto five hundred years. This marks the point in history where humans have taken the evolution of their species to their own hands.

January 2071

The Navy is given leave to scout the local cluster seeing that the human population is a never before seen boom. The Alliance leadership fears that the Sol system wouldn't be able to sustain this growth unless new habitable planets are discovered.

January 29th 2071

A frigate wolfpack under the command of Admiral Jon Grissom leaves Sol System and jumps to Alpha Centuri. Since the Alliance Navy lacked space vessels above frigate weight, the flotilla is comprised of Farside class SSV Nagasaki, SSV Budapest, SSV Cape Canaveral, SSV Adelade led by Admiral Grissom's Waterloo class frigate SSV Enterprise. Twelve corvettes are included in this flotilla.

The scans of Alpha Centuri reveals two planetary bodies within the goldilocks zone that the Alliance could colonize without problems as their conditions are similar to that of the earth. These planets have their own eco systems which stuns scientists all around the globe. Three other planets show characteristic similar to that on mars. The system is pinned for rapid colonization.

After scouting the sytem, the expedition scouts seven other systems within the local cluster. They are able to uncover five more garden worlds and a plethora of Class II planetary bodies. The expedition is called off when they are unable to travel further as they are limited by their FTL drives. Humanity is isolated in a bubble until they are able to uncover more efficient FTL methods.

November 2071

All the uncovered planetary bodies are planned for colonization.

The system of Trident is reserved for the Alliance Navy to build necessary facilities required for the planned military expansion. The system which doesn't contain a Class I grarden world. But it had a rich Oort Cloud and several asteroid belts for mineral harvesting. The Navy and Cerberus agree to create their Naval factories in the system.

The System of Sparta is left for the Alliance Army to act as their military capital. The planetary bodies within the system offers a multitude of training grounds and environments that they culd use to tain their men for any circumstance.

The system od Tartarus is left for the Cerberus. These three systems are inaccessible for the civilians while the System of Tartarus is wiped out from all star charts.

Applications are called for the colonization of Horizon, Terra Nova, Gaea Prime and Demeter.

February 20th 2075

After billions of man-hours of both human and robotic labor, Alterra is completed. This is hailed as a marvel of human engineering and the height of human ingenuity. Every human who gave their life for this marvel of engineering is immortalized in a gold plaque within Alterra. Even various sectors are named after them.

The outer surface is fitted with the new Gorgon Laser Defense System developed by Cerberus. It is also fitted with multiple Arclight Cannons for offessive purposes.

The production plants within Alterra for droids, aircraft and Naval vessels are brought online.

The robotic labor force is diverted into other fields and projects to revitalize many ventures which had been in idle for so long.

2075

Population hits seven billion bringing the number of humans to the levels before the End War. To preserve the natural balance a population cap of 4.5 billion is introduced to earth casing a massive emigration to the other colonized planets.

With a large part of their numbers beyond the Sol System, the Alliance restructures its High Council to provide representation for all these colonized planetary bodies. Each colony would have its own seneate. Three members of that senate elected from it would represent the colony in the Alliance High Council. The Chancellor of the High Council would be elected every seven years. There is no limit to the number of time you could be selected to hold the Office of the Chancellor.

To prevent corruption a special bureau is established based on the defunct CIA and KGB. It looks into the suitability of politicians. Without the approval of this organization one cannot run for office. The organization is a separate entity from the Alliance Command and is placed under the Arbiter, the Cerberus representative in the High Council.

A new harsher laws are introduced to prevent the creation or the accidental ventures into the field of AI. All projections reveal that humanity would be in the losing end should the machines rise up against them as the robotic force outnumbers humans by 2000: 1.

A group of dissident are identified to be spreading rumors and recruiting wanting the status quo of the old world. All measures taken to flush them out are unsuccessful. Cerberus volunteers to look into this matter.

A psionic network is created that enabled humans to communicate with each other from anywhere on earth. Plans are drawn to increase the range and capacity to span several planets. It is hampered by technical difficulties.

The factories on earth focus on manned and unmanned fighters, the lunar dock focuses on frigates and the docks of Alterra focusses on cruisers, mining vessels and cargo freighters.

Terraforming is further streamlined. The method enebles the change of the composition of soil and air to required levels. It is used to detoxify the earth's crust and bring down the greenhouse gases to the levels of the previous iceage. Reserch is underway to control the gravitational pull of a planet and also magnetic induction to shield a planet from solar radiation.

April 2nd 2082

The Navy announces the completion of Anchorage, the Naval Dockyard of Trident. The facilty is rumored to be a copy of Alterra around the planet Trident III. The facilty is used to create vessels of cruiser weight and above. A revolutionary piece of tech which enables to catch and collect space dust for mineral extraction is incorporated to the facilty by Cerberus.

April 18th 2082

The first cruiser is unveiled. The Dawn class cruiser SSV Forward Unto Dawn is flown above earth in a demonstration.

August 2082

A High Council meeting requests the Alliance Navy to build Orbital Defense Platforms inspired by a beloved game series 'Halo', for stationary protection of earth and its colonies.

The Navy and Cerberus joins in designing a ODP that was cost effective and at the same time devastating for any invader. When the plans are finalized the Navy is given charge of constructing them at Anchorage.

March 2083

The first ODP is put into orbit around the earth. When the public is made aware of the plans for planetary defense they jokingly refer it to as the 'Turtle Project'. The ODP is manned by a high performance advanced VI. Without recognized IFFs, the ODP would obliterate the target within seconds.

May 2083

Fusion reactors are finally miniaturized so that they could be fit aboard starships. This enables the development of the Alcubierre Drive which uses similar philosophies to that of Mass Effect. It should enable human to travel beyond the bubble they were confined in.

August 2083

CERN manages to produce antimatter industrially. The technology is confiscated by the Navy for military use.

The terraforming endeavors outside earth shows results. The soil in the domed settlements of Tier II world are able to support any type of vegetation. It also enables a natural carbon recycling system to spring forth. Most of the planets are now self-sufficient when it comes to food. Harvest which acts as the breadbasket of the Alliance fills the shortages while converting the rest to rations that could be stored for a long time.

July 2nd 2083

Three separate expeditionary flotillas are sent out after upgrading the ships to incorporate an Alcubierre Drive along with a fusion reactor. The expeditions are led by the three cruisers SSV Forward Unto Dawn, SSV Dawn of Discovery and SSV Reclamation.

The next region demarcated for exploration is called the Inner Colony region. This region is the primary focus for futire expansion from their Core Worlds of the Alliance. The region beyond the Inner Colonies is named the Outer Colonies.

During this expedition, the Navy comes across the first Mass Relay. SSV Reclamation were able to activate it by fluke alarming the Naval Command. But they soon returned revealing how the structure flung them over 28 light years within a second. The Alliance requests Cerberus to look into these structures.

Using these 'mass relays' they were able to scout the entirety of the Inner region rapidly. Exploration continues.

January 1st 2085

The Alliance High Command reveals the plans for its seat of power. The newly named Olympus Station would be placed in high orbit of the earth. The Army and the Navy begins constructing similar stations to house their command.

March 1st 2087

Conflict breaks out between the Alliance forces and a group of terrorosts in Horizon. The terrorosts demand cessation from the Alliance wanting to rule their own planet. Navy mobilizes when the Army garrison is overrun by the dissidents. Cerberus sends out their operatives to track and hunt the leadership of this movement when they notice similar turmoil is brewing up in other colonies as well.

August 2087

Using their advanced weaponry, the Marines are able to brutally put down the terrorists. This is largely due to the fact that many of their leaders die under mysterious circumstances. The men and women behind this loss of lives are publically executed to send out a warning. Among them are several billionaires with the motive of breaking away from the Alliance to create thir own empires.

May 2090

After many iterations and redesigns, the first dreadnaught, assault carrier and carrier enter into service simultaneously.

October 2095

Cerberus uncovers that all mass relays are remotely controlled and monitored by a cetral station. As the relays were proving to be an economic boon for them as they provided means for free unlimited travel between long distances for their civilian sector which weren't fitted with the Alcubierre Dirve they couldn't be removed without public outcry. It was also proving to be dangerous to harm one of the relays as they could explode with a supernova force. So they look into isolating these relays from the central hub bringing them under the Alliance control.

A deactivated secondary relay in a remote area is isolated to be broken down to reverse engineer the massive space transit and isolate the command structure.

2100

The dawn of the century is widely celebrated as humans rejoice looking back at their journey in the past century. They went from a world that was ravaged by war to a civilaization that spanned multiple worlds.

To display their success among the stars, the Olympus Station is brought online on the first of January. The massive station is able to house over 9 million souls with room to spare. The station is ispired by Precursor designs and many new technologies uncovered from the library are incorporated into the structure. Many are at awe at its beauty.

A similar station which was commissioned by the Navy is placed in the system Arcturus Stream. The system is a relay hub with eight relays present in the system. The Navy plans to use it to monitr the relay network and house its Fast Response Fleets within the system to provide quick support in case of an extraterrestrial attack.

Symbolizing their nonstop growth, the first settlement in the Inner Colony region is established in Atlantis.

Analysts believe that should they not have the Library to provide guidance for their expansion, humanity wouldn't be able to achieve these technological marvels for at least another millennium.

October 2101

The station commissioned by the Army is placed within the System of Sparta. The Station named the Valhalla is utilized to train the elite forces of the army and the marines. It also houses the Advanced Biotic Training Institute. The soldiers nickname the station as the 'Villa.'

February 12th 2101

Cerberus releases a genemod that enables the Alliance to drop research into biotic implants. The genemod enables for the birth of biotic without birth disorders and it enhances the biotic capabilities by several fold.

About 10% of all humans are believed to be biotics. That number is expected to rise drastically in the future with this new genemod.

November 2105

The relay 549 is finally broken down and the command structure is isolated. The findings are utilized to separate the relays from their central hub and place them directly under Alliance control. The alloy comprising the relay is identified. But it proves to be too heavy to be used in ships. Instead they look into methods to used them for ODPs.

The new command structure planted in the relay mainframe only allow ships with recognized IFFs to transit through them.

2115

Ruins are uncovered in the garden world of Elysium in the Inner Colony region after an attempt to establish a settlement. Studies reveal that the ruins belong to an alien species identified as the protheans and the ruins were over fifty thousand years old. The underground bunker houses a data repository which is handed to the Ceberus for data mining. Progress is hampered due to the lack of a language cipher.

While sweeping through the Inner Colony region for more prothean ruins, SSV Paragon's Edict discovers a group of unidentified ships within the System Mengsk. Paragon's Edict spy on the alien race as they are in the process of establishing a colony in the lone garden world. They discover that the alins are an avien species. Naval Command orders the ships back to base after it gathered the data it could.

The Alliance High Council wished to stay hidden until the motives of the aliens are known. They do not wish to run into the race that attacked the Precursors without warning.

2136

The prothean cipher is finally cracked. Most of the technology contained in it is outdated when compared to the tech humanity obtained from the Isu. The data repository, now identified as a 'Prothean Beacon' containes all details pertaining to the Prothean Empire. The beacon points out the major becons the protheans left throughout the galaxy. It also points to several underground cryo bunkers which surprise the Alliance.

The beacon confirms the existence of the 'space squids' that attacked the Precursors. According to the data, these 'reapers' attacked the Prothean Empire as well.

October 31st 2157

During a routine patrol through the Inner Colony region, the patrol led by SSV Cry of the Phoenix under the command of Captain Gerald Armstrong runs into a group of ships belonging to the avian species they spied in Mengsk. The two parties make contact and First Contact procedures are adhered.

The Alliance reviews the data from the first contact data packet and invited the now identified raloi species of Turvees to come meet the Alliance leadership at the Arcturus Station.

November 23rd 2157

The raloi ambassadors are escorted throught the locked relays to Arcturus Station. The delegation is surprised by the sheer size and beauty of the station. The Alliance welcomes the roali ambassadors with full honors and they form several trade agreements with each other. The raloi sees the benefit of associating with the humans when they see their feats of engineering. They are further mystified when they learn that most of this work was done within a century.

Another delegation, this time containing the Vice Chancellor of the Alliance Aston Rasmussen leaves with the roali to their home world to meet their leadership.

December 2157

When it is found that the raloi based their tech on the prothean data they found on Turvees, the Alliance High Command comes to an agreement to offers several tech they found in the prothean beacon which weren't useful to them. The Alliance reveals about the space squids that attacked the protheans and urges the Roaloi to be ready to face them should them reveal themselves. The Raloi Federation requests to sign an agreement of mutual defense which the Alliance agrees.

The raloi are asked to join the Alliance scientists in uncovering several prothean ruins they had marked using the data from the prothean beacon.

The raloi concentrates on military buildup after hearing the warning from the Alliance.

2174

The Raloi Naval Command standardizes its navy according to the Navy of the Prothean Empire. The Federation and the Alliance form few joint colonies within the region of the Inner Colonies to improve the relationships between the two races. Humans welcome the roaloi after they prove that they mean no harm.

A new joint colony is established in Shanxi in the region of the Outer Colonies becoming the first joint colony in this region. The mass relay is kept deactivated since they didn't have any intention of exploring further.

2179

An underground bunker containing thousands of life pods belonging to the protheans is discovered in the garden world of Utopia. Around 16% of them contains life signs. A team of scientists containing thumans and raloi are put to study the species and make contact with them whe they are thawed out of cryo.

2180

A single prothean life pod is unearthed from Eden Prime. It is transported to Utopia to study with the other protheans discovered there.

2181

The relay in Shaanxi System is activated from the other side and several unidentified ships enter the system.
