Aaaaand welcome to one whole page of Laika torture 'cos my love of anime characters is slightly sadistic like that :3
Disclaimer: Alas, my grip of Japanese is too small for me for to own this.
Logic of the Heart
Laika lives his life strictly by logic. Chance isn't worth it, you may get lucky a few times but sooner or later you're bound to fail. Logic doesn't allow for risks. Cold, calculated formulas with definite, guaranteed answers. Black and white, with no uncertain shades of grey to leave you questioning your actions.
Yes, logic is definitely the way to go. Except, of course, around one certain Hikari Netto.
Netto, who effortlessly defies reason and around whom the unexpected can and will happen. Laika logically shouldn't even like him, and yet he finds himself drawn to Netto's irrationality.
And worst of all, some of that irrationality is beginning to rub off on him.
But even Netto must operate by some kind of logic surely? A rather strange and warped type of logic.
And if Laika looks at some of the things that have been happening to him around Netto recently and tries to apply some of Netto's logic…He doesn't like the answer that he gets.
He doesn't like the answer at all.
However, this just speculation. Netto's logic could only ever come to shaky conculsions and after all there is no concrete evidence. Merely a tendancy to blush when in close contact with Netto, looking for slightly longer than necessary in Netto's direction, worrying about him in battle…
…
…Shit.
Some nights in Sharro when he can't sleep, Laika tries to sort this problem out.
He can't like Netto, at least not in that way. It's just not possible, it's completely illogical…but then this is Netto he's thinking about.
Laika buries his face in his hands and wonders when the world stopped making sense.
