How are you? And how are the riders? It's been a while. I'm not even sure why I'm writing this, when I don't even know if you'll read it. I'm just venting, I guess.
Kel agreed to being my squire, though I know she wanted Alanna. It was hard when she found out the Lioness had picked Neal. She's been excellent though, has Kel. I can tell that she takes in the things I say. I might bring her out riding with the Own, soon. She'll have to at some point, since I spend so much time with her, and I am her Knight-master. Between you and me, I think she has the talent to become a commander. I just have this feeling in my gut, you know?
You were right, by the way. She certainly does keep me on my toes.
How's Larse? I remember you said you were training him up. He is paying attention, and not just flirting with the girls, right?
I hope you're home soon. Good as Kel is, she doesn't replace you for listening and nagging giving advice.
