-A little help from Grandma-

-A one-shot by Blueshadowdemond-

-As far as the disclaimer goes, you know the deal!-

As the red train took off, leaving a cloud of smoke and noise ringing in every persons' ears, James Potter grinned at the group awaiting him. Lily Evans sauntered by, a grin almost like James' plastered on her face. And even though James' smiled faded as he watched her retreating back, he was still happy.

"Hey!" He shouted, before gribbing his trunk and running flat out across the platform. Waiting for him were his parents of course, but also his grandparents. And for so long he had not seen them, he embraced them, and the group began to chat. James was having a very unusual conversation with his Grandmother.

"Who was that girl?" His Grandma has lines etched into her face, her hair was a stiff lump of white, but she was kind, plump, and a very good cook. But she was also nosy, persistent, and very strait-forward.

"Wich one?" James replied, yawning and giving his arms a stretch.

"The one that wiped that charmign grin off of your face!" His grandmother snapped, as if it were obvious, and she gave him a look so much like Lily's that it was unbelievable.

"That was Lily Evans," James stated, he did not want to give much more information, but, unfortunately, his grandmother nodded for him to continue, "A girl I love. I've been...er...chasing after her for quite some time now..." -He paused to run a hand through his hair- "But she thinks I'm an inconsiderate, bullying prick, who has an inflated ego, acts like a child, and doesn't respect girls." James recited with a sigh. His grandmother's appalled face was nothing, for she then proceedeed to march right over the Lily.

"Grandma, no! She'll just think I sent you on purpose!" James pleaded, but there was no changing his grandmother's mind, and he hurriedly ran back to his parents and began conversing with them, all the while watching his Grandmother and Lily converse.

It was definitally not what he expected. His Grandmother said many things to Lily, James knew she was explaining to her what James was really like. And even though James expected Lily to be outraged, she wasn't. Lily laughed, smiled, and talked to his Grandmother, not looking the least bit mad.

And then his Grandma returned, ushered away the adults, giving James a feeble reminder to hurry up. James found himself frozen in place. As the adults disapeared, Lily smiled at him. And then she slowly walked across the platform, smiling all the way.

Then the unthinkable happened, just as James tryed to apologize to Lily, and to insist he hadn't sent his Grandmother to speak to her on purpose...

She.

Kissed.

Him.

A little help from Grandma never hurt did it? I hope you liked it, I've never read anything like it before, and the idea came strait from MY head. Reading this wasn't a waste of your time, so reviewing couldn't hurt, could it?
