The Green Lanterns

The Sinestro Corp war is over, but at a great cost. Earth's four Green Lanterns have fallen and their rings have gone off to search Earth for their four successors. Who will the rings choose, and can they live up to the legacy that Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, and Kyle Rayner left? Or will they follow the destination of their predecessors? 1. The Courage of Sean

Chapter One: The Courage of Sean

(John Stewart's POV)

I was shooting down Manhunters with my assault rifle construct with my partner Guy Gardner hitting them with a rocket launcher construct. I saw Prime throw another Lantern through a building. I told Guy "We need to take Prime out of the equation or else we will keep losing our fellow Lanterns".

"You're right about that Johnny. I will distract Prime while you hit him with the K.O. punch."He said as he made some missile constructs to blow up more Manhunters. I nodded as he flew past Prime hitting him with a blast then he flew Prime towards me. I had a fist construct ready as Guy shot straight down, I swung the construct hitting Prime but he threw up a shield construct.

"I hate Green Lanterns!"He yelled as his eyes turned red then he shot his heat vision at me, going through my chest. The last thing I remember was Guy yelling my name, my ring leaving my finger saying I was deceased and was looking for a sentinel replacement, and the heat vision that went through me hitting a building causing debris. Then everything went black.

(Sean's POV)

I was walking down the street with our students on the way back to the buses when I saw flashes of green and yellow above us. I told my students to hurry then I saw a flash of red and heard a crashing sound. I turned around to see the fallen body of a green lantern crashed onto top of a taxi, then I looked up to see the red blast hit the building we were standing at. I told my students to move out of the way, all of them did except for one who was frozen in fear. So I decided to run and push them out of the way but the debri was falling quicker than I expected, that's when a green ring appeared and put a green lantern uniform on me with a mask while making a shield bubble around me and my student, the only thing that was different was where the green lantern symbol it was just a white circle.

After the debri cleared I made the bubble disappear and stood up straight as my student ran to the others, that's when I saw a flash of green appear next to me and heard a voice said "So it seems Johnny's ring has found someone." A man with red hair said as he crossed his arms. "Wait as in Green Lantern John Stewart, that means you are Guy Gardner"I said as I looked at the ring then I looked at him. "Yes I am rookie and right now we need you on clean up crew"He said as he went back to fighting. "Great just great"I said as I cleaned up debris. I looked at the ring in disbelief on how it could choose someone like me.
