Castiel was frozen, staring at the scene before him. He'd come to share some information with the Winchesters in their motel room, and had found this. Dean had Meg pushed up against a wall, and was making out with her.
Meg noticed Cas immediately, and had pushed Dean off.
"Hey, Clarence." She said cockily, unfazed. Dean whipped around and stared at Cas.
"C-Cas. What's up?" He stuttered, and thankfully the lights were off, because he blushed. Cas shook himself out of his trance, and without a word, left.
That night, Cas heard Dean calling for him. Cas knew the hunter wanted to explain, but Cas wasn't sure he wanted to hear it. He felt betrayed. Dean had told Cas, over and over, how much he loved him, and yet he'd kissed Meg. Cas really didn't know what to think. So he went.
Dean was sitting on his bed in the room, which was vacant save himself. He'd been calling to Cas for at least ten minutes, and had thought the angel wasn't coming. But he was wrong. There was a flutter of wings, and Dean looked to his right to find Cas.
"Cas, I'm so, so sorry." He groaned, and his expression seemed to match his words. Cas just watched him, waiting for an explanation.
"I'm not really sure what happened, man. She was here, telling me something about Crowley, and then..." Dean trailed off, knowing Cas knew the outcome. Cas noticed that he wasn't trying to shove the blame all on Meg, and even though it hurt, Cas was glad that Dean was trying to be honest.
"I'm...just confused." Cas finally said, "I thought love was supposed to be...exclusive."
Dean heaved a sigh. "Yeah, Cas it is. I really...I really can't say what happened, I mean..."
Dean was at a loss for words. Never in his entire life had this happened to him. Sure he'd cheated on girls when he was a high school kid, but he'd never really cared, considering he would never see those girls again after a few weeks. And as an adult, all he'd ever had was one-night stands. Until Lisa, and most recently Cas. Now he felt sick, as if he had food poisoning or something. He wasn't sure what had come over him, and he felt disgusted by his own actions.
Cas watched Dean in silence for a moment, and then put a hand on the hunter's knee.
"Dean, I forgive you." He said quietly. Dean smiled.
"I don't deserve that." He replied just as quietly.
"I don't care." Cas responded. Then a thought crossed his mind.
"You...didn't like it, did you?" He asked sheepishly. Dean laughed awkwardly.
"You're a better kisser. A million times over."
Cas smiled that classic soft smile of his, and leaned in for a kiss. Dean met him halfway.
