Death…
Why do you elude me?
I reach out to embrace you
And find only the cold, empty place where you stood

Countless times I have tempted you
To take me away, make me yours
And each time, you have fled
Fading away into nothingness

I try to seek you out
But you hide from me
You refuse to let me find you
To let me end it all

Death…
I want to hold you
To lose myself inside you
To disappear into eternity

But, each time I try
You save me
You love me
And I learn slowly…to live
