She can't help but go against everything she has ever been taught. She can't help but look into the past and smile at the fondest moments, and cry at the regretted ones. She's not one to show her emotions, but it was time to let go of the burden on her chest. So she cried her eyes out. In front of everybody inside the office.

He can't figure out what to do. He has never seen her like this. Crying. He closes his eyes. It was never thought of when you saw her everyday. He can't just sit there though, she might as well be his sister. He wasn't the strongest man to help her, but she deserved someone. Now that he has opened his eyes, he could see she doesn't need him as much as he thought.

He could always read his people, whether they knew it or not. His suspects always were afraid of him, whether they showed it or not. Today was no different. He could see the pain in her eyes. He wanted to hold her in his arms like a father cradling his new born baby, but refrained because he has a reputation to with hold. But he didn't have to run to her because someone already beat him to it.

He was always the 'class clown", as he was told. He masked his fears and pain with jokes. No one ever questioned it, but it didn't really go unnoticed either. Women used to be his eye catcher…used to be. Now the only person that caught his eye was his beautiful, Israeli partner. He will never tell her that though. She is all he will ever want. So that is why when he heard the first sob, he ran to her.

"Hey…Ziva…shh…huh" he soothed her and stroked her hair as she cried. "What's wrong?"

Ziva looked at him with glassy eyes, and he knew what was going on in that stubborn head of hers.

"It's going to be…" He got cut off.

"I am broken." he looked down at her. What was she thinking.

"How could you think that? You're the strongest person I know."

"I'm broken on the inside." She was staring into nothingness. He thought for a moment.

"I can fix you." That got a reaction. She looked up at him.

"How?" He kissed her. She could not believe it. Tony Dinozzo was kissing her. Ziva David. And just when she thought no one cared. He pulled away and kissed the top of her head. Then her forehead.

"By loving you." He whispered. "Forever." They were interrupted.

"Go home, get some rest. Both of you" Gibbs gave them a sad smile. And somehow she knew everything was going to be okay.
