Family Problems

"Mr. Wagner, your grades are slipping. Quite, frankly, I'm not sure that your grades are meeting the high standards of Bayville High," Ms. Darkholme admonished.

"I apologize, Ms. Darkholme. I vill try to bring zem up. Family turmoil, you zee?" Kurt replied, referring to the recent battle where Mystique and Nightcrawler had ended up squaring off against one another after a huge X-Men vs. Brotherhood battle.

"Kurt, why won't you come to the Brotherhood?! No longer will we fight one another! You'll be with your family again!" Ms. Darkholme cried. 1 "I can see that you've been through hell after I left you-"

"After you chucked me off of a vaterfall."

"Well, come back to me! I can make it better! Just leave those...people at the Xavier Institute and join the Brotherhood," Ms. Darkholme pleaded.

"I'm zorry, but you vere my family und you let that go. I'm vith ze X-Men now. Zhey're my family."

"But Kurt, you would be such a huge asset..." Mystique trailed off.

"Oh, zo zat is all zat it is, eh? Not zome revelation, not even zome guilty memory! You just vant ze fuzzy elf on your team! Vell, forget it!" Kurt shouted, turning on his heel and stalking off. "Oh, und by ze vay, I vill try to bring my grades up, ja?" With that, Kurt Wagner left the office, slamming the door behind him.

And, all alone, a single tear trailed its way down Raven Darkholme's cheek.
