On Submaton color there's all sorts of odd food available to eat. After passing the giant fruit trees, we passed by trees that grew chocolate. Grabbing a bar, I ate it while we walked. But soon everything looked weird and my body didn't listen to me. Falling to the ground, I lost consciousness.

"Marin!"

Melan my body won't move

"Marin! What's wrong?"

After eating chocolate stuffed with pineapple, I passed out however I was aware of my surroundings.

"Marin!"

Melan I can hear your voice but I can't speak

"The chocolate must have drugged you. I must neutralize the toxins"

How Melan?

As I laid on the soft grass, I felt him lift my body up with his paws and heard him whisper "I'll protect you"

Melan!

Then I felt his cool skin brushing against my face "Marin"

Melan what's wrong?

Slowly, he pressed against my lips, trying to open them.

What are you doing Melan?

Getting my mouth open, a sweet liquid came from his mouth into mine. It was melted chocolate dripping trough my throat. As it dripped,my tongue felt as though it was massaged by his.

My heart is beating too fast

Removing his lips from mine, he held me tightly against his chest "Marin wake up, please"

Pretty soon I started to gain feeling in my body again. Opening my eyes, I was only inches away from his face "Me...lan"

"Marin are you awake?"

"I think so, what did you do?"

"I...neutralized it"

"Did you... Ki...ss me?"

"Kiss? I just neutralized it"

"Did you enjoy it?"

"Yes it was quite pleasurable"

Does he even realize what he's saying

"Melan!"

"Did I offend you? I apologize"

"No, it's just... You see...um"

"Marin what is the matter?"

"Nothing"

"That is a lie, according to your life readings your heart and breathing quickened."

"Do you know what a kiss is?"

"I have not had the time to study the current culture of the funny world"

"Ahhh! How do I explain this. Humans kiss to express their feelings for one another"

"Melan do you care about me?"

"Will you stay with me forever because you choose to or because of your duty?"

"Marin, it's true that it's my duty to protect you. But there's a joy that is gained from being with you that cannot be gained from duty alone."

"Melan can I follow you wherever you go?"

"It's too dangerous"

"Please Melan, I really love you"

"I'm a living weapon who's only purpose is to destroy. Also I can't hold you without hurting you. Do you want to be with someone who could only hurt you?"

"It doesn't matter, I love all of you"

"Ugh..Marin, my chest hurts"

Giving him a hug, I ask "Does this help?"

"Hmm"

Holding his face in my hands, his eyes widened "Marin your cheeks are scarlet"

"Let me show you my feelings"

Pressing my lips against his, he still tasted sweet. I tried my best to convey all my feelings to him.

Parting from his lips, I saw he too had a blush on his cheeks "I'm conflicted, I want to stay with Marin but I must protect you"

"You need me as much as I need you Melan. I'm not going anywhere"
