I knocked on the door.
"Well hey you! Jane, how are you?" he asked.
"Paco, I was wondering if I could trade in that favor you owe me?" I replied.
"Of course. Follow me to the cellar and I'll give you some advice. Actually, I think I know just what you need."
I followed him to the cellar. Way in the back, behind some cobwebs was a bottle that didn't look to great.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Don't be intimidated Jane. There might be some dust on it but I've been saving it a while."
"But why?" I responded.
"Well it's one of the many things that get sweeter with time. Like you Rizzoli. Didn't know you as quite the romantic?" Paco stated.
"I've been changed." I knew there would be a dreamy look to my eyes and Paco picked up on it instantly.
"Alright day-dreamer. Get home to your woman. She'll have that look once you give her this."
"How much?" I asked, nervously.
"Invite me to the wedding, and it'll be no charge." He replied cockily.
"Sure thing. See you later."
Back at Maura's house
My heart was flying as she came walking down the drive. She hopped in.
"Where are we going, Jane?" She asked innocently.
"Let's just go for a drive. I know a place we can watch the stars." I told her.
She held my hand and we headed to the outskirts of Boston. It'd take a while to get there but I knew it would be good.
"Here we are."
We got out and I got out the wine and the glasses. She smiled a huge smile and we set out a blanket.
Five years later
"Thanks for inviting me." Paco said.
"I owed you back."
"Thought we were even now?" he asked.
"No you started the greatest things in my life with a bottle of wine. And your right, it does get sweeter with time."
"Much like your love will." He told me back.
Later that night
"I love you." She told me.
"I love you too. I'm glad you decided to marry me." I told her.
"I think it was the wine." Then she proceeded to kiss me.
