Disclaimer: I do not own the ideas of Chibi Vampire/Karin.
Karin's eyes opened for the first time in what had felt like forever. "Where…?" She began, as she slowly pieced together her surroundings, through her cloudy vision. "Am I…?"
"Onee-Chan." Said a voice that came from the doorway. It sounded almost timid, but Karin knew better than to assume the owner of said voice to be timid.
"Anju!" Karin yelled as she flung her torso from her bed quickly grabbing her head and squeezing her eyes shut, as it felt that her skull was about to be ripped in two. Anju quickly, but calmly, walked over to her sister, putting a hand on her shoulder as she guided her back down to her bed.
"Onee-Chan. Please be cautious. You haven't grown used to your new abilities yet…" The silver haired girl spoke, sounding almost sad. Karin blinked.
"New…?" She began as she looked at her hands. Nothing felt different, beside the pain and her tiredness, everything was exactly the same as before. She went wide eyed as bits and pieces of out-of-body experiences. The thoughts floated slowly back to her. The wings, biting Usui-Kun, besting Winner-Kun's grandpa. All of it. "Anju! What exactly changed about me? Where's Usui-Kun?" She was growing worried.
"It seems that releasing the last of the blood in your body was the final part of the ceremony. Onee-Chan. You're a true vampire now." The news struck Karin like a punch in the gut. A true vampire. But what about…?
"But what about Usui-Kun!" She screamed. "I need to know what happened with Usui-Kun!" Anju began to leave, as she looked over her shoulder, while Karin slowly sat up, supporting her motion with her hands on the mattress behind her.
"You…" She paused. "Can no longer see him." Karin's jaw dropped as tears welled in her eyes, though she remained speechless, as she couldn't find the exact words to say. "Mama and Papa said you are to live in the world of the night now. After reading a little bit further, into a new book, they found that you were able to remain in the world of the the light for another twenty-four hours after the ceremony. But now…" She started to exit. "It's too late…" Karin put a hand to her chest.
"Too late…" She repeated, feeling her heart shatter into thousands and thousands of pieces that couldn't be repaired. "Usui… Kun…" Tears rolled down her cheeks as she bit her lip. "World of the night…" She put out one hand, upturned. "World of the day…" Doing the same with the other hand, she continued. "I knew… I would have to leave behind Usui-Kun, Maki, Winner-Kun, and all the things of the world of the day that I loved… But I never imagined it would hurt this much…" She looked out the window, to the full moon that loomed just over the horizon. "Usui-Kun…"
Short and to the point! That's the way I didn't want it to be, but I didn't wanna draw it out too much. If there's anything I can't stand, it's drawing something out. That and long clothing descriptions, as My Immortal has turned me away from. (If you haven't read that, you HAVE to! Read the one by funkyorange titled, My Immortal with commentary by a Weirdo. You'll die laughing.)
