"SIT!!!!!!" yelled Kagome as Inuyasha went smashing into the ground. "Kagome, you.." He started to yell back but Kagome had already thrown herself down the well.

Miroku sighed, "Inuyasha criticizing Kagome's devotion to her work is not wise. You need to learn to relax, and you both need to learn how to settle your differences. Look at Sango and me." He had put his hand around her back and she felt it sliding down. She tensed her hand ready to strike. Miroku felt her tense and knew the blow was coming. Sadly he smiled awaiting the blow. "If only you knew Sango, if only. You think I'm just a perverted monk who only cares about your body. But I don't. It's just a cover. I don't know how to act around you so I act like I act around everyone else. I notice everything about you, I can tell when you're sad even if you're smiling, I can tell that you're angry even if you say your not. I can't do anything about my feeling so I'm just going to smile and hope someday you will smile back."

He closed his eyes, still smiling, waiting for the blow. Sango looked up into his face, "He's smiling. It's a sad smile but still, he looks so happy. I'm about to cuff him as hard as I can and he's smiling at me." This confused Sango so much, looking into his face she felt an odd feeling well up inside her. Was it pity? She felt her hand stop and lowered it. Miroku looked at her. She turned away quickly and said, "I'm going to take Kirara to stretch her legs. I'll be back soon." And without another word she swept away.

"Miroku," said Inuyasha, "I think she's developed a soft spot for you." "hMm?" Miroku replied startled. "I mean come on, one look at your face and she completely froze." "Is it possible that she does have feelings for me? Maybe my love is not only one sided. Oh, Sango please where ever you are, please give me some sort of sign that you love me too."

"Why did I go weak like that?" She thought angrily to herself. "Now he'll think I love him." another thought then came to her "maybe it's better that way. If he thinks I love him. It would save me the embarrassment of trying to tell him and.If he loves me at all maybe he'll try to tell me." Then again a different though interrupted this one, "Love me, humph. Even if he does.say something or. how would I know he was being sincere." "You'll be able to tell, trust yourself for once," snapped the other side of her brain.

Perhaps if she wasn't so caught up in her thoughts about Miroku she would have realized that something was moving behind her. "Ahhhhhhhhh," Sango screamed as Kagura went zooming straight for her. Sango reached for her boomerang, but it was too late. Kagura had already knocked her out. Draping Sango over the feather that was supporting her Kagura looked back as Kirara roared. Kirara raced forward but Kagura already had her fan out. With the merest flick of her wrist she sent Kirara backwards and then dropping into a tree. Waving her fan slightly so as to speed up the wind current she settled down and looked at Sango, feeling disgusted that such a simple task was appointed to her.
