After It All
In the last strike with a sword through his chest Ganondorf falls over in death impaled by the master sword. It was over now the country of Hyrule was brought into peace once again, as in the distance the figure of Midna appears, the one who had helped Link through all his journeys as he rushes to where she was.
Midna stood up where she was looking at him as Links jaw dropped looking at her as she gazes into his eyes. "What is it? Link say something" she turns away for a moment then back with a slight blush along with a smirk "What am I too beautiful that you have no words left?"
Link lifts up his hand and brings his jaw back up with his fingers smiling at her "It's true you are very beautiful"
She smiles sadly looking down for the moment then looking back up at him "Link...I cannot dwell in the light, just like you cannot dwell within the Twilight but... is it to selfish of me to ask you for one last thing... to spend one day with you... that is all I ask... the last thing I ask..."
Link agreed, during there adventure they had begun to have feelings for each other, and halfway through the day they would spend there last rememberable moments together. Later that night Midna put her clothes back on and looked to Link "It's time for me to go" So him Midna and Zelda headed off to the Twilight mirror when the words were exchanged she looks to Link with a tear in her eye. "As long as this Mirror exists we can meet again. Link... I..." she wanted to say I love you... she wanted to say it so badly it hurt but she couldn't and she wouldn't as she sends that single tear towards the Mirror "...See you later" she rushes up to the stares as the Mirror shatters Link in shock tries to stop her but it was to late she was already fading away with a smile on her face no matter how sad it would be, she finally left and he would never be able to see her again.
Zelda puts her hand onto Links shoulder and looks at him for she also had feelings for him the first time they had ever met even though he had been in the wolf form then it was still love at first sight. "...I'm sorry for your loss...But I think... she wanted it this way"
Link nods in sadness with tears in his eyes as he looks to the shattered Mirror "... I know...I just... never mind"
Zelda smiles a bit also sad at Midnas departure as she pulls on Links arms "Come on... lets go... we have no business here"
They left the desert then as link was sent back to his home village to tell them that he would be living with the princess and would no longer be living with them. Ilia Links best friend felt sad at this but wished him luck all the same and told him to come and visit her anytime he could as he nods and leaves once again heading back to Hyrule Castle where the Princess awaited him. Link was made into the head Knight to train the soldiers to teach them the true meaning of courage and to not run away when asked for help what ever that may be.
A few days later Link was to meet Zelda in the palace she hadn't told him why but it was best to obey the Princesses orders as he heads into the throne room bowing as he came into her presence. She looked at him and told him to rise "Link... a festival is coming soon... and it is required that I marry before, or during the festival when it hits" Link nods in sadness once again thinking he would loose another female he loved even so she continued . "Link don't look so sad... I could think of no better person to marry then the one I talk to now"
Links eyes shot up in surprise as he looks at her with an expression of joy on his face "I thank you... for a moment... I had thought I'd loose some one I'd love again."
Zelda looked at him with a saddened smile by his last words he had spoke "...I would never leave you and I never will, after all this is destiny."
