Pointless..?

A One Shot (all my one-shots with Misfits are related apart from 'The Rest Of My Life') about how Alisha was thinking when she went to Nathan to ask where Simon was.

Alisha twisted her fingers together and sighed. She raised one fist and knocked it three times gently on Nathan's door. It was the only and last place Alisha could turn to see if she could find Simon, to speak to him and well maybe confess everything to the man she thought she was falling in love with.

The door opened and Nathan dressed in a dark red top and green pants smiled at her. It wasn't a pretty sight. She managed a forced smile.

"oh heeey!" Nathan said, turning to the room and waved so she could come in. She walked in hesitantly and walked right across the room to the window. "You alone?" she asked.

"Uh huh. So you alright then?" Nathan asked. She focused on the window outside.

"I'd thought…it feel like we'd made it-" she started, trying to find the words to tell someone how she felt. She didn't know if it was just her but she felt more than one set of eyes on her.

"-and now, this fame stuff…just feels a bit…pointless" she finished and turned back to the window.

Nathan scoffed "Course it's pointless. That's why famous people pretend to care about the Africans!"

Something dawned on Alisha. "He knew it would be like this!"

"Who?" replied a clueless Nathan.

"Simon" she answered simply, not sure if she meant her future one or the current Simon. "We should of listened to him" she muttered, wishing she had listened to Simon. She wondered if she'd gone with him, would the future have changed, been different?

"Do you know where he is?" she asked Nathan.

"No, no, no, haven't seen him." Nathan answered stupidly. She knew at once he was lying. He raised a bowl of peanuts to her "Nuts?"

"He said picking up litter was the best time of his life!" she remembered, not sure why she was saying this aloud. She turned back to the window.

"I think that demonstrates his rather low expectations!" Nathan chuckled.

"If you see him-"she muttered. "-tell him he was right."

She pushed past Nathan and opened the door, knowing where she needed to be.

another one shot will be coming soon. need to finish it. it is an alternative about if Alisha sides with Simon before they get famous
