AN: Just a one shot that I did. Hope you like!
Halloween. Halloween. The scariest time of the year, and probably Vendetta's favorite time of the year, because she was always the scariest.
And she didn't even have to wear a costume!
Charlotte walked into the classroom, and smiled. "What're you going to be for Halloween, Vendetta? Something pretty?" She asked.
"Stupid girl. If I WAS going to wear a costume, it would be scary, not pretty. Scary is better." Vendetta frowned. "But I'm not wearing a costume. Costumes are for babies and stupid girls, like you."
Charlotte frowned for a split-second at this statement, but quickly regained her cheerfulness. "Oh, okay…that seems fine." She nodded, and class started. When it was over, Charlotte walked home and ran straight to her room. "Grandma, where are the scissors? And fabric?"
Vendetta was at home as well, and wondering some things.
The stupid girl seemed depressed when I mentioned that I wasn't going to wear a costume.
I hate her….but I can't really bare to see her depressed like she was.
It's not normal.
….This is going to lead me into deep waters, but, here goes….
"Hamster! Fetch me the scissor fiend, fabric, and sowing needle fiend!"
The next morning, Vendetta was in the classroom…dressed as a Pokémon Trainer. Any responses were met with a 'shut up, unless you want to meet my Pokémon'. She had to admit, it was a easy way to carry fiends, and pretty comfortable for a stupid Halloween costume. Even though it was what Charlotte would call 'pretty'. The door slammed open, and Vendetta glanced over at it. "Neh? Jason?" She wondered.
It was a girl in a Jason costume…and she sat down next to Vendetta. "Is this scary enough for you?" She asked.
"Charlotte?" Vendetta tilted her head.
"Yes, it's me. I said, is this scary enough for you?" Charlotte took off her mask to reveal red marker lines across her face. She had even put blood.
"This depends. Is this pretty enough for you?" Vendetta said.
"Yes." Charlotte nodded.
"Then that's scary enough. This means nothing, though, stupid girl. By tomorrow, we'll be back to normal." Vendetta frowned.
"I know, I know…but while we're still like each other….can you go trick or treating with me, Vendetta?" Charlotte asked, with a slight smile.
"…Sure, stupid killer girl." Vendetta tried to smile.
"Then we'll go after school, my Pokémon master friend." Charlotte smiled.
'Sometimes, the stupidest of things could be best.
Especially when Charlotte does it.' Vendetta thought, with a genuine smile.
