The boy sat waiting;
((Authors' notes: This is a little poem Ryuuko and I both spat out one day. We both know perfectly well that Xelloss was, indeed, a Mazoku by birth…but this is just how it ended up turning out. ^_^; Enjoy our bit o' strangeness!))

Birth of a Demon

The boy sat waiting;

Waiting in the dark.

And then she appeared,

Smiling like a shark.

She held in one hand

A very large net;

And in the other,

She held a cigarette.

The cigarette burned

And gave off smoke.

To anyone who breathed them,

The fumes would choke.

Then trapped in the net,

With nothing he could do;

She sighed and said:

"Ho hum – I need something new."

With a flick of her wrist,

One down off the list,

He lie broken and beaten,

Within the lair of a demon.

But as he lies still,

Broken and dying,

Her smile widens,

And he felt as if he were flying.

A kiss on the cheek,

A bloodstained tear;

And suddenly he was not,

The one to steer.

His very own body,

No longer his own;

For it had changed shape,

Into a sort of black cone.

It may sound strange,

To hear of this new form;

But, alas, his power

Now exceeds that of the norm!

His newfound strength,

Which rivaled the gods;

One of the strongest beings,

On the earth who had trod.

He can slay a whole army

With a flick of his finger;

Oh my...with him,

I doubt you would linger.

His human form

Violet hair, just like that!

With amethyst eyes

Shaped like a cat's.

To end the world was their goal;

Beast lady and servant.

Together they walked,

To cause eternal torment.

Secret after secret;

Plan after plan.

Into the future they went,

And caused the end of man.
