JENNIFER
You're right, there's not much left.
MARTY
Doc's never coming back.
Marty picks up the torn picture of the Doc standing next to the Hill Valley Clock Tower's clock in 1885.
Marty sighs.
MARTY
I'm sure going to miss him Jen.
Suddenly, there's a TREMENDOUS SONIC BOOM.
MARTY
What the heck?
Marty and Jennifer react with total incredulity at what they see:
A STEAM LOCOMOTIVE is there on the tracks and DOC BROWN is in the cab, wearing an engineer's hat .
Of course, it's been modified with big Tessa coils, condensers, and equipment that looks right out of Jules Verne... including a Victorian style flux capacitor!
MARTY
DOC!

MARTY!
It runs on steam! Meet the family, Clara you know.
CLARA
Hi Marty
MARTY

These are our boys Jules and Verne
Boys, this is Marty and Jennifer
All four exchange waves.
MARTY
Doc I thought I'd never see you again!
DOC
You can't keep a good scientist down! After all I had to come back for Einstein, and I didn't want you to be worried about me.
Clara hands Doc a wrapped package.
DOC
Oh! I brought you a little souvenir.
Marty opens the package staring down at a photograph of the Doc, and him next to the Clock Tower Clock.
MARTY
It's great Doc! Thanks
Both Marty and Doc shake hands.
JENNIFER
Dr. Brown, I brought this back from the future, and now it's erased.
DOC
Of course it's erased!
JENNIFER
But what does that mean?
DOC
It means that your future hasn't been written yet! No one's has! Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one! Both of you.
Marty and Jennifer smile at each other
MARTY
We will Doc!
DOC
Stand back!
Alright boys buckle up.
MARTY
Hey Doc, where are you going now? Back to the future?
DOC
Nope already been there.
THE LOCOMOTIVE LIFTS OFF OF THE TRACK AND INTO THE SKY DISAPEARING IN THROUGH TIME.
MARTY
I guess the doc has finally found what he is looking for.
JENNIFER
Marty, I'm sure you'll see Dr. Brown again someday, like he said we have the power to control our future now.
MARTY
Jen, I get what you're saying but, it's like he's never coming back, like this is the end. I'm really going to miss time traveling, Jen.
JENNIFER
Cheer up Marty, let's get our future off to a good start, and go on that trip we've been planning.
Marty smiles at Jen, and they both walk over to the truck.

CASSIE
Don't you understand? If we don't stop this event from happening a whole paradox could occur! Captain why can't we stop this?
CAPTAIN ANDERS
We will not interfere with this because Dr. Brown brought this on himself, I'm tired of helping that crazy fool! I've helped his teenage pawn get back to the future, I've allowed history to be altered on countless occasions, and now I'm done!
ZHANE
Sir, he is a scientist, and you said so yourself he was a genius! How can you react in this manner?
CAPTAIN ANDERS
Turn in your badges! Both of you, I will not be defied!
CASSIE
Then we will take matters into our own hands!
The two young time police punch in keys on their wrist communication system, and are instantly transported into a time ship.
CAPTAIN ANDERS
Security Alert! Close all time portals immediately!
Captain Anders punches in to the time ship's communication patch.
CAPTAIN ANDERS
What do you think you two are doing? I order you to stop this instant!
ZHANE
Captain, it's simple! Since you aren't going to help Hill Valley, we are!
CASSIE
Exactly! D.E.C.A set time units to Saturday, October 27, 1985 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
