They could hear the crashing of the waves against the high cliffs, the cry of the seagulls and the cacophonous roar of the crowd below.

Not one of them even bothered to strip out of their clothes before the first of them was running for the edge of the cliff, crouching at the edge and launching themself into the air. Jyuushimatsu whooped in delight, the feeling of flying setting him free as he free fell out of their sight.

Ichimatsu lazily slouched up to the edge, looked below with a growing smile and slowly leaned forward. Not feeling like jumping, the cliff was shear enough that he wouldn't hit it on the way down. Todomatsu jumped next; with a small run up he flipped off the top and shot his remaining brothers an exhilarated smile. Fear panged through his heart as he fell. He closed his eyes and held his breath as he rushed to the end of his drop.

"See you down there Kara, Oso." Choromatsu bolted for the edge, clearing his mind before he could convince himself this was a bad idea. It was too late for his younger brothers; even Totty had sucked up his fear of heights and jumped. He couldn't let them down. He hit the edge and jumped screaming, he turned in the sky and fell head first towards his brothers, eyes shut tight against the whistling wind and the no doubt dizzying view as the earth rushed past him.

"Farewell brother~, I'll be going on ahead." Karamatsu said, whipping off his sunglasses and tucking them in his shirt collar. Osomatsu snorted but didn't watch as Karamatsu's footsteps neared the edge of the cliff. How Todomatsu got the stupid self-stick thing to work properly Osomatsu was struggling to know.

"Don't be so dramatic Kara. I'll be down there right after I get this stupid thing to work." Osomatsu snapped, shaking the stick in irritated exasperation. Karamatsu gave no reply. He gave up with a sigh as he heard Karamatsu finish his jump and grabbed out the roll of sticky tape he'd smuggled from the house just for this occasion. He snatched up their go pro from the grass beside himself, turned it on and started recording before he held it to the selfie stick and wrapped it up within layers and layers of tape to make sure it didn't fall off.

"Perfect." He said, getting to his feet. He walked to the edge, turned his back on the sun and smiled up into the camera as he fell backwards. His vantage point atop the cliff allowing the go pro to capture the mangled, bloody bodies of his brothers below.

"We love you mum, dad. Sorry."

Within seconds the feed came through a haze of red as Osomatsu's world ended.

They couldn't hear the roar of the crowd on the beach, or the cry of the sea gulls as they flew and circled above them, or the crash of waves against the cliffs twenty meters
