Fractured
Chapter 1: A hard Farewell
Kagome vomited at the site before her. Blood, carnage and the love of her life eating the deaf body of Naraku who was reduced to nothing but meat by his claws.
She and Inuyasha had married the night prior. She was promised forever by him. Yet, Naraku had killed Kikiyo's shell and Kagome realized she was never truly his. As Kagome's soul returned and she fought through the pain Inuyasha had transformed.
Savagely he attacked the half spider demon. Inuyasha had forsaken his human side and Miroku and Sango stood as her sheild just in case. Sesshomaru stood at their side using his own powers as a barrier to protect his weakened comrades.
It was horrible but even Kagome could feel that Inuyasha was gone. There was no spark in his red gaze and her heart broke.
Moment to the side caught everyone's attention. Jaken led the children through and Inuyasha was running at them.
Despite Miroku and Sango holding get back Kagome broke away from them. Screaming "Sit! Sit! Sit! Sit" her lungs were burning but she stomped over the toad and pulled both Rin and Shippo into her embrace. Kirara fully transformed and Kagome swing all of them into the demon and flew away.
Sesshomaru was giving chase and Ah uh was staying to protect the monk and demon slayer.
His instincts were in an uproar. His pup was in danger.
With everything in her Kagome's body took her to the well. Praying it would work and with some struggle she threw herself into the well with the children.
In moments Kagome wad in her childhood home. Wearing a battered and bloody Kimono. A wild look in her eyes. Her mother was quite shocked to see her.
"Mama! watch them. Please!" At her mother's nod Kagome had run to throw herself back into the well.
Kagome climbed and came fave to face with Inuyasha who tore her out of the well. Kagome let her powers run and the half demon was thrownback into a bank of trees by her powers.
It only took seconds for him to bed upon her again. He was yanked off her and Kagome layed there get hand caught his subjugation beads and they fell into her body as the Tears flowed from her eyes.Horror struck watching as Sesshomarus claws burst through his chest.
In his hand was Inuyashas still beating heart. It was crushed and the blood and gore covered her. Inuyasha fell next to her yellowed eyes starting forward. Breathing out a final "Kikiyo".
There wasn't time for heartbreak till Sesshomaru was growling in her face.
"Where is my pup!" Her powers rose but Kagome pulled them back.
"She's safe, I promise." His growling slowed and some of the redness seeped awayfrom his eyes. Kagome stood blocking out Inuyashas body from her mind.
Tugging the demon along the well allowed them to travel to get time. Assuring get mother of her safety the pair collected Rin and Shippo.
Sesshomaru looked over his pup and collected himself. Looking to the miko who looked ready to fall apart.
They left her home but the well tremored as they returned. They landed safely in the other side but Kagome could feel the magic whisper away.
Sesshomaru pulled the small group to him and they landed.
Screams tore at Kagome even she set eyes upon Inuyasha. The brokenhearted wailing was what are away at Sesshomaru most.
He had not wished Inuyasha dead. In fact he congratulated his brother the night before when he announced his marriage. Though his bride was now widowed.
As Miroku and Sango arrived Kagome was laying upon the dead form of her husband.
Days passed and Inuyasha was buried next to Kikiyo. The miko became a shell.
Being made to eat. Forced to bathe almost like she was soulless.
The guilt are away at Sesshomaru. He knew, so not to tarnish the honor of the miko and his own. To respect his brothers passing, he would care forhis family.
The miko was to become his mate.
