Katniss is sucking on her lollipop. She likes her lollipop, it tastes like strawberries. She is walking in the park. The park is beautiful, with lots and lots of bright flowers. Then she sees a squirrel run across the field.
"SHQUIRREL!" she starts running after the squirrel. She can hear Mommy telling her to come back. But she wants to catch the squirrel!
The squirrel runs up a tree and out of sight. Katniss runs back to her Mommy and Daddy. But she catches her foot on a rock and stumbles, her lollipop falling out of her mouth. Then she starts crying.
Mommy and Daddy run up to her "What happened sweety?"
"Mah lollipop!" she points to the grass covered mess on the ground.
"It's alright dear, we'll get you another one," her Mommy reassures her.
Her Daddy picks up the lollipop "We'll get you an even bigger one!"
"But I want dat one!" she wails.
"Will it make you feel better if I sing for you?" her Daddy asks.
Katniss pouts and shakes her head stubbornly, though she knows she loves it when her Daddy sings to her. She goes to sit under the big tree, her chubby arms crossed over her chest.
She sees a cute little blond boy walk up to her.
"Hewo, my name is Peeta. What's yours?" he says blushing.
"Katniss."
"Nice to meet you Katniss, would you like a lollipop?" he holds out two strawberry lollipops, her favourite!
"Thankoo Peeta!" she grabs a lollipop and quickly hugs him.
Then Katniss sees a little dark-haired boy pointing at them and chanting "Catnip has a boyfriend! Catnip has a boyfriend!"
Peeta blushes and pulls away.
"Go away Gale! Your sooo annowing!" She puts on her best disapproving face, which probably isn't that good because Gale keeps on laughing.
"Hmph." Katniss really doesn't like Gale. He is always teasing her! "Your just jhealoush 'coz yoooou don't get a hug!"
Gale stops laughing, but then says, "Ewwww, I don't want to get girl cooties!" and he walks away.
She hears her Mommy call her "Katniss, we need to go now honey, say goodbye to your friend!"
"Goobye Peeta."
"Goobye Katniss."
Katniss thinks Peeta is a really nice friend. But the one thing that is on her mind on the walk back home is; I'm going to get that squirrel.
That was a cute little one-shot. My first actual story on FanFiction! Well except that SYOT, which I basically gave up on when I didn't get enough tribute submissions. But, yeah, I'm so proud of myself for writing this! It's terrible, I know, but please review? It would mean a lot to me :)
