'Run, Mai!' The boy whispered urgently, gently pushing her to the small window. 'No, I won't leave you, Niichan!' Mai whispered back, clinging to his arm. 'Listen to me, Mai.' He said while bending down slightly to her height. 'You have to run, Mai. I'll come back for you.' The boy whispered while hugging her. 'Do you p-promise, Ryuu?' Mai asked quietly, her voice breaking slightly. 'I promise, Mai. Now go before he finds us. I love you, Imouto,' Ryuu said. 'I love you, too, Niichan,' Mai whispered as she went through the window.
Tears clouded her vision when she woke. 'I shouldn't have left him.' With a sigh, she stood and entered her bathroom. She washed her face with cold water, enjoying the way it felt on her tear stained face. She decided that she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, so she got ready and made herself breakfast.
After she finished, she cleaned up the dishes and decided to go to work early.
