"Randy, this is Monk's new nurse, Sharona Fleming. Sharona, this is Lieutenant Randy Disher."
"It's good to meet you."
"You too. You sure you're ready to take on Adrian Monk?"
"Of course!" she looked up and their eyes met and locked for ten seconds until he turned to respond to the Captain's statement.
"Randy, I need the Billing's file."
"Yes, sir. Right away."
"I better get going. Adrian's waiting at his house. We're re-organizing the silverware at two."
"Yeah, you don't want to be late. You'll never hear the end of it." He chuckled as he spoke.
"It was nice meeting you," she called back at Randy before she walked out of the door.
"You, too!" He couldn't help but stare as the Captain walked her to her car. And he knew then that she wasn't just one of those nurses who walk around giving sick kids cough medicine. She was more…much more, and he was going to find it sooner or later.
