So I just had to write and just sort of threw this out here. Sorry for the lack of editing, but I need the practice so here you go. :P

Raven stopped in the middle of the hall, interrupted by a shy looking Beast Boy. She had been buried in her new book when he had stopped her, only to seemingly lose his confidence upon succeeding.

"Yes?" Raven asked in her classic monotone.

"Hey so um... we've been dating for a week... and I know that you're not the kind of girl to celebrate something like that." Beast Boy nervously stumbled through the sentence, flailing about as expressive as always. Raven didn't miss however that one of his hands was always behind his back.

"But I also know that over the holidays I didn't really get to give you a gift as your boyfriend, and.. and...so I thought that maybe... maybe I should since you know... Dick got Star all those gooey romantic gifts."

Beast Boy was now even more nervous. He seemed unable to meet her eye by now and wouldn't hold still for more than a second. Raven though he looked adorable like this. She fought back a smile and tried not to interrupt him. It has been only a week since their first kiss and he still seemed pretty scared that he would mess it up any minute.

"So I was gonna get you a giant teddy bear our a bouquet bigger than you were, but then I thought that you probably wouldn't like something too over the top. So I got you this..." Beast Boy threw his hands out in front of him, holding a crudely wrapped gift. In his hands sat a ball of left over Christmas wrapping paper, taped together in numerous places.

"Happy late holidays babe." Beast Boy said quietly.

"Gar, you know you didn't have to do that." Raven said softly, her hands slowly taking the poorly wrapped present from him. She began to tear at the paper until it finally revealed the present within. There, in place of the tacky ball of paper and tape, was the ugliest thermos she had ever seen. The lid was a dark brown, almost the color of wet dirt, the rest was an awkward purple and green paisley. The whole thing clashed so perfectly that it almost made it look good in its own terrible way.

"I wanted to get you the newest, top of the line, X model thermos from Wayne Enterprise. It had a warmer, a clock, a brewer built in, and even a satellite TV screen." Beast Boy fumbled with his fingers. "Robin told me that we don't actually get paid to be heroes though, so I had to use my own money. Sorry that I couldn't get you anything better. But now if you ever want some tea while we're on a mission, you don't have to worry because you have this." Beast Boy smiled at her sheepishly.

Raven couldn't help but smile at his excitement. His whole being seemed consumed by apprehension, staring at her with those irresistibly charming eyes.

Raven pulled the appalling thermos to her chest and leaned forward to give Beast Boy a small kiss.

"I love it."

One year later and Raven finds herself in the Titan's East tower. She had to stay for the week to help with an ongoing mission, and is packing to leave when Bumble Bee swooped down to say goodbye.

"So you know, you almost left this here." Bumble Bee held out the thermos that had grow to be quite infamous around the tower."I'm still not sure why you like it but I think Speedy stole it. Probably to save humanity from it's sheer ugliness"

Raven snatched the worn thermos from Bumble Bee's hand with shocking speed and ferocity.

"Tell him that if he touches it again I will end him." Raven spat.

"So I take it you're excited to see your little lover boy again?" Bumble said, after a short giggle.

Raven hugged the thermos to her chest, sporting a warm grin.

"You bet I am."

End.
