Captain's log: 'It has been 1,5 month now, since we've met any specie or a civilisation. We flew by a nebula 3 weeks ago, We heard a destress-call. At first we tought it was from the Kazon, But it turned out to be species 453 the Cataati. There were some debries, I send Mr. Tuvok and B'Elanna to examine the part that was over from the shuttle. But it seemed that the signal was a destress-call from 4,5 years ago. It looked like the borg had tried to assimilate them for their technology. There were no survivors left, So i orderd Mr. Paris to resume our course to the Alfa-kwadrant again.

'Chakotay to Janeway'... Chakotay go ahead, The scanners show us a very interesting signal I tought you might want to give it a look for yourself. Alright, Janeway out. When she arrives on the birdge she is stunned by the view. Chakotay smiles, What is this for signal?. Well, it isnt really a signal... Harry tried to filter the signal but it seems that it are small molecules. Source, They are molecules from a gas-planet. A gas-planet?. Yes, and you can find alot of deuterium in there. Janeway tought by herself for a second or two and said:'If there is alot of deuterium there must be alot of ships around there too. Well, that is what is so interesting about it the scans show us that there are no shuttles, or any ships. But why?... Captain, Yes Harry: 'Were being hailed, audio only'. Hailed by whom?. The scanners indicate that the vessle is Kobali.

Kobali? Says Tom, I tought we were already out of their region a long time ago. Yes so I tought too Mr. Paris. Put it trough Harry. My name is Captain Kathryn Janeway of the Federation Starship U.S.S Voyager... My name is Katar Teky. I suggest you get away to where you came from. Why, This gasplanet is very dangerous. I guess you have seen the molecules flying on your scanners?. Yes, We have on our long-range scanners. Those molecules a little flying balls filles with gas from the planet, But its not regular gas they have alot amount of Methane and Butane. Methane and Butane, Those gasses togethere will explode Chakotay suddenly says. Yes, they will and that is not the only thing, We havn't found out exactly what the source is because there is to much radiation. But if those molecules come to close they will attach to your ship. And than your ship is like a giant bomb waiting to explode.

Well, its very nice of you to warn us about that but there is alot of deuterium in there. Can't you just avoid them?. Maybe some of them but how closer you come, how more there will come you way. We have tried and lost many ships, and people. Deuterium is very expensive here and alot of people have no other choice than just try. So, I suggest you get away and resume the way you were going. The transmission ended Captain. Chakotay to my ready room.

Chakotay what do you think of this situation? We've almost run out of deuterium ourselfs so we could certainly use some extra. Yes, but the problem is could we get in time there and back before getting serious damage to the ship... I can look with Tuvok and B'Elanna for a possibility to make some modifications. There must be some way we can get the deuterium and get away safely. I will ask Seven for the safest way to get the closest to the gasplanet. Dismissed. Sssh, Captain Janeway entered the bridge again, Mr. Paris for now how close can you get us to that planet?. Well, I think 2,5 lightyears. Alright that must do for now. I will be in Astrometrics if someone needs me. Mr. Kim you have the bridge.
