Mario Power Tennis (Game Boy Advance), Max, Tina, Royal Tennis Academy, Elroy, Sass, Island Open tournaments, Power Shots, Peach Dome and the plot of the game belongs to Nintendo. I own the title, "Sport on the Court", and the poem.

I've been playing Mario Power Tennis on my Game Boy Advance lately that got me inspired to do a poem based on it. It's written in Max and Tina's point of view, in the United States of America's case, Clay and Ace. It was great fun playing Power Tour mode as Max on the third file and the script is witty and worth a laugh sometimes, competing in those tennis matches kept me on the edge of my seat even though I did this more than two times. Anyhoo unlike the previous poems, this is mostly about tennis and the duo's quest for success and recognition as well as the energy of the sport.

Sport on the Court

We practise at the Royal Tennis Academy,

It's usually the best place to be,

Together we're known as Max and Tina,

As we get strong, our enemies get meaner,

Intense matches were at the tennis court,

Sometimes, it can be a tough sport,

If we try harder, we'll be at the top of any class,

And beat adversaries such as Sass,

Captain of the school is Elroy,

He's an ace player and obviously a boy,

Every student wants to be the best,

At moments like this, there's no time to rest,

Winning a trophy was our ambition,

It wasn't easy being prepared for the Island Open competition,

But in the end, it was worth it,

The journey was long and difficult, we admit,

Power Shots, skill, luck and endurance were the key to victory,

Stadiums were always awesome to see,

The venues were far away from home,

One of the amazing places we've played at is Peach Dome,

In matches, it's now or never,

Memories of emerging victorious will last forever,

Everybody is giving their all,

Keeping their eyes on the ball,

We've achieved our dream,

Because we're a champion team,

Tennis can be a competitive game,

Daily phrase is no pain, no gain.

All I can do is pat myself on the back for moping the court with the finalists, Willy and Sheri, at the Island Open doubles tournament and triumphing in the Peach doubles tournament with Tina. I've already cleaned up the singles competition and obtained the prize so all that advice from the coaches and the hard work paid off, including the never-ending practises. Now, all I have to do is complete everything else in the three files. I couldn't come up with any titles but this is the only one I've thought up, what did you think of the name of the poem? Unfortunately, I've missed out on Mario Tennis for the Game Boy Colour, that means I can't write a poem about it and besides, I don't know the storyline and what happened before its sequel.

Speaking of congratulating myself, congrats to Natalie and her dance act, Cascada, for wiping the dancefloor with the other bands and solo singers in the UK charts as well as landing herself on the top spot with "Evacuate The Dancefloor". I hope she stays in the poll position in the forthcoming week; she has definitely achieved something Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, The Veronicas and Jordin Sparks can't do this year! It's a pity that none of their latest songs have managed to at least enter in the top 10 or the number one spot. For now, please tell me what you think of my brand-new, spankin' poem in your review.
