Somewhere Out There

A Sirius Black tale

Somewhere out there,
Beneath the pale moonlight,
Someone's thinking of me,
And loving me tonight.

Harry hoped with all his heart that this was true... He would know it was
true if Sirius... if Sirius... 'NO! Don't think about it!' he scolded himself. Because the truth was, he really didn't believe it had happened. He didn't believe Sirius was dead. And if he thought about it, he would do
something rash, like try and go behind the veil and see Sirius again. Because he was dead when he fell behind, he was only stunned. So there's a
possibility that Sirius was still alive right?

Somewhere out there,
Someone's saying a prayer,
That we'll find one another,
In that big somewhere out there.

Nobody could ever replace Sirius. Not ever. People could come close, like Lupin probably would, but Harry would remain distant, so as not to be hurt again. And also so that if he died, nobody would be hurt by him not being
there anymore. What he didn't know was that people loved him, no matter what. He didn't believe he could ever love again. After first losing his parents, then Sirius, the closest thing to a father he had ever had? Nuh
uh. No way.

And even though I know how very far apart we are,
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star,
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby,
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky!

The thing was, Sirius might not be able to see the stars from where he was. Harry like to think he could, that he could see the big yellow moon Harry
was staring at. Harry didn't want to admit that he could be wrong. That Sirius didn't have a way to look to the stars. That they weren't as close
as Harry hoped they were................

Somewhere out there,
If love can see us through,
Then we'll be together,
Somewhere out there,
Out where dreams
Come true...

Harry fell asleep at the window sill, dreaming of better times where him
and Sirius would be reunited. A big black dog and a young boy with startling green eyes romping around in a park. Where there were no worries, no deaths, no sadness. Where Voldemort didn't exist.... Where there was no
veil.......
