Hope slowly opened her eyes as piercing white light stuck her eyes, so she quickly shut here eyes again not being able to adjust to the light. Her eyes teared up when she tired again. Then she became aware of the throbbing in her head, the sharp, agonizing pain in her side and that fact that she did not know where she was. She moved her hands to the pain in her side and panicked as they came away wet, letting out a gasp she threw opened her eyes. Sound became apparent at the same time. Wheels where rolling quickly down a sticky floor, there were people on either side talking in hurried voices. She was in the hospital.

Hope tired to sit up, her sight allowing her to see a long white hallway, a door frame and the scene changing to a room. It was all blurs and she couldn't focus on one thing for more than a few seconds. Then she felt a hand push her down, and the searing pain her side. Everything went black again.

Hours later she woke up, the room was still, she could focus. Hopes father sat in the chair next to the bed stand. She was extremely thirsty and too her relief there was a glass on her night stand. She took a few gulps, trying to swallow her panic. At first she thought she had dreamed up the hospital scene, but she was obviously in one right now.

She to sit up but a sharp pain exploded in her side, and she went very still. She pulled the blankets off, and moved the hospital shift to the side, revealing a very large white bandage. She laid back down, resting her head in the pillows and closed her eyes.

She though about the night before, trying to remember what happened and how she got here. All the sudden she saw bight lights, heard tires screech and felt Nathaniel's hand across her chest.

Hope's eyes shot open, the car crash. There was a car crash. Nathaniel. Was he okay? Where was he?

"Dad! Dad!." She screamed with fear leaking out of each word. He woke up abruptly, panic gleaming in his eyes.

"Honey, your awake. Thank God. How are you feeling?" He cooed as he quickly made towards her and took her hand.

"Where's Nathaniel." She said as calmly as she could, but it was coated with anxiety and she heard her own voice crack.

As soon as her fathers face dropped she knew.

"Where is he?!"

He didn't answer.

The nurse had to come in and force a pill into Hope before the screaming stopped.
