I heave a heavy huff before I collapse on my bed face first. My mom pops her head in, a perplexed look on her face. "Honey, are you all right?" she asks, concern heavy in her face.

I keep my face in the bed, "Yeah, I just missed my old room. That's all." I reassure her. She stands there for a second but, realizing this conversation going no where, she leaves. I slowly pick myself up into a sitting position, my eyes canvassing my childhood bed room. The blue walls shine off the light coming from the window next to my twin bed. My bed sheets are neatly set despite me flopping down on them.

I'm home, visiting for the summertime. The soft wind from outside drifts in through the open window and I take it in. My phone vibrations bring me out of my stupor as I take it from my pocket. It's a text from Moli. "Hey, you home? Because the gangs getting together to hang and you know it ain't a party till you show up!" her text reads.

A smile spreads across my face, "I'm game, see you in a few!" I answer back cheerfully. With that, I rise from my bed and stretch, excitement bubbling in me. I pause, looking at the three pictures nailed to the wall above my bed. My smile softens as I stare longingly at them. One of the pictures is of me and my gang of friends, being hyper as usual. Then I look at my other two pictures, one is of my two Australian companions. The last one is that of me and my boys from the 141. I smile at them before disappearing out the door to go hang with my friends. Finally, it seems, the broken line has been mended.
