A Monster Hunter Tri fanfic

It was a sunny day in Moga Woods. The Aptonoth were grazing. A lone hunter clad in Rathalos+ armor and wielding a heaven's thunder long sword was walking back to Moga Village. The hunter was currently in a cave near the wyvern's nest when he heard ferocious roaring. The hunter found that the roaring was coming from the nest nearby. The hunter ran to investigate.
The hunter got to the nest and saw a terrifying scene. A Rathian was guarding her only egg from an enraged (and very hungry) Deviljho. From the deep wounds on her back and wings, it was clear the Rathian was winning. The hunter could not take on the jho alone so he tossed a dung bomb and it was a direct hit. The Deviljho, repulsed by the noxious smell, quickly fled the scene. The hunter ran over to the dying rathian. The rathian looked the hunter in the eyes and did something completely unexpected. She gently pushed her egg (which was a curious silver) to the hunter and closed her eyes for the last time.
The hunter picked up the egg and carefully ran back to Moga Village; wondering how he was going to explain this to the chief.
