A/N: It's been a long while since I've actually wrote this… I decided to get back on track with writing, and I plan to do more stories that aren't just MLP related. My writing has gotten better so I updated this and added a little more at the end. (Boy was my grammar terrible…) Hopefully not too soon will put up the next chapter and make a cover for this…

Enjoy! ~SketchCraft

Prologue:

It was a rainy day and I was sitting upon Grunkle Stan's chair while he was attending to some "important business", otherwise known as sleeping in his office.

I had been browsing through the journal until Mabel came along. She hopped over to me, her pink sweater bouncing, and said,

"Whatcha doing Dipper?"

"Reading.." I said, annoyed.

Mabel then looked over to see what exactly I was so interested in.

Portals were the topic; there apparently had been weird sightings of mysterious portals appearing in the forests of Gravity Falls. It said that anyone who came in never came out. I found it both amazing and creepy at the same time.

Unexpectedly, she tried to grab my book, but I had a firm grip on it. We then fought over it.

"Give it Mabel!" I shouted.

"No!" She grabbed my head and put it into my lap, which hurt a lot, and tried again to grab it.
I had grabbed her wrist and pushed it away, turning back around, and making her fall on the floor.

"Gosh, Mabel! Why do you want my book so bad?" I yelled.

"Give me it!" she yelled back, jumping up and trying again to grab it.

Luckily, I dodged her and ran out of the shack, onto the front porch and headed to who knows where.

"Hey!" she said behind me. I ran faster, almost to the forest. Just as I was about to enter, Mabel grabbed the back of my vest and pulled me towards her, giving her the chance to grab my book. "Thank you!" Mabel said, and then ran away in the other direction. "Mabel!"

I ran to her as fast as I could, but I couldn't catch up! She was always faster than me…

Mabel had already grasped the book from Dipper and ran in the opposite direction, looking at the book.

"Ok, portals! There has to be a portal that leads to some vampire or fantasy place..."

To her luck, there was, Right before her eyes.

Dipper was already in the forest, looking heavily for Mabel and his journal.

"Where could she be?" He said as he descended into the forest.

Through the eerie smoke he could make out a figure...who? He ran towards it to find Mabel.

"Mabel what the he-" His words stopped as his twin and him were standing in front of a big, purple, portal.

"Come on Dipper, into the portal with me!" She said, pushing him towards it.

"Mabel! You realize how dangero-" he was stopped as Mabel pushed him into the portal.

"Yay!" She exclaimed as she too, entered the portal.

"Wow! This is way better than vampires!" she said.

"Ah, another day in Canterlot..." Princess Celestia said as she stood on her balcony.

It was very nice as the princess said, she felt mostly great... But that was only because lately,
for some odd reason, she's been feeling sad, depressed even. Luna noticed it and asked, but all
Tia said was,

"It's alright. Just a little under the weather that's all."

The princess had begun to eat less, and stay in her room a lot, avoiding royal duties. She had gotten angrier, and Luna just got more and more worried. The princess of the night sent a letter to Twilight Sparkle, in hopes Celestia's student could somehow solve this…
