The Loves of My Life

I sat there and thought. I had lost the two loves of my life, Jake Ryan and Oliver Oaken. I met them both in middle school and loved them ever since. See I loved them both a different way.
Oliver was the guy that I could never get over. I had missed my chance when I set him up with Becca Weller. As the years went on I started to notice these feelings for Oliver but kept them to myself. I slowly started drifting away from them since I couldn't stand to see him with another girl.
On the other hand there was Jake. I had loved Jake since the 70's dance that they had at our school back in middle school. After that dance I was going to tell him but he started going out with Rachel. That was just about the worst I have ever felt. I tried to get over him but I just didn't want to and after that he just stayed there in my heart.
I am now just out of high school sitting in my room watching the news, with all these feelings going through me when something on the news caught my attention.

News Reporter: Today in a tragic accident with a small car and a large shipping truck an 18 year old girl was killed. Her name was Rachel Daniels just made up her name. We believe as she was driving she lost control and her car turned into the lane with the traffic going the opposite way and then got hit by the shipping truck.

I couldn't stand what I was hearing. A girl that I went to school with since middle school just died. I couldn't watch any longer so I turned off the TV and laid down on my bed. Down stairs I could hear the doorbell and Jackson answered it. He didn't call for me after about five minutes so I assumed it wasn't for me. I got up and got my year book and looked at who won what awards.

The winners of some awards had been:
Cutest Couple-Jake Ryan & Rachel Daniels
Hottest Guy-Jake Ryan
Hottest Girl-Becca Weller
Most Likely to Be Famous-Miley Stewart (Everyone had heard me sing at the last Christmas concert and everyone thought I should be a singer (even though I already was))
Most Reliable-Lily Truscott
Mr. Popular-Jake Ryan
Miss Popular-Miley Stewart
Should Have Benn Couples-Miley Stewart & Jake Ryan
Miley Stewart & Cole Myers
Lily Truscott & Daniel Landers
Amber Salon & Johnny Collins

These were just a few of the awards that I looked at. As you can see by high school I had gotten pretty popular. See when Lily and I got to high school we started to hang out with Jake more and so we just stayed up in that group. As all of this was running through my head there came a small knock from my door.
"Come in" I called.
A boy walked in and closed the door behind him. I t was Jake.
"Hey Miles"
"Hey did you see the news?" I asked
"Yea it's pretty sad"
"You don't look so sad. What's up?"
"Well the truth is I never really liked Rachel. I just went out with her because she asked and I knew you would never give me a chance" said Jake.
"That's not true. The day I found out you two were going out, I was going to tell you how I really feel about you" said Miley.
"So how did you really feel about me?"
"Well I loved you and I never told you because you and Rachel looked so happy together and I didn't want to ruin that" I told him
"Miley, I really wasn't that happy; I wanted to be with you so badly. When you talked to me it made my day"
"Oh Jake"
By now I was off of my bad and now in front of Jake. He leaned in closer to me and kissed me and I think it surprised him when I started to kiss him back and soon we pulled away from each other.
"I love you Miley"
"I love you to Jake"
I leaned in this time and started to kiss him passionately and then he joined right on in on the kiss.
