Next Time Won't You Sing With Me

A/N: Here's another LWD drabble-y ficlet. It's just a little fluffy thing. I think it's cute. But that's just me. I'm working on posting all the stuff I have written and then try and finish my Flash Fic which is already late. Enjoy! R&R! Thanks! –Mac

Disclaimer: I don't own LWD.

Next Time Won't You Sing With Me

"Mommy, Mommy! Can I show you what I learned at school? Please Mommy?"

"Courtney, can it wait? Mommy is busy washing the dishes because Daddy refuses to do domestic chores." Casey responded, glancing over her shoulder, for a brief moment, at her daughter.

"Puh-leease?"Courtney pouted dramatically.

Casey sighed, but picked up a dish towel and dried her hand so she could turn and watch. "Okay, but be quick about it, because Daddy will be home any minute and we need clean dishes to make dinner with."

Courtney beamed, "Okay, Mommy. Ready?"

"Ready." Casey nodded.

Courtney took a deep breath and began to sing, "A B C D E F G, H I J K, LMNOP, Q R S, T U V, W X, Y and Z. Now I know my ABCs, next time won't you sing with me?!"

Casey's face broke out into a wide smile and her heart swelled with pride. "That was amazing sweetie. You must be a genius to have memorized that so quickly."

They heard the front door open and shut and a voice call out, "Hell-o, where's my two favorite girls?"

"In the kitchen, Derek." Casey called out.

Derek peeked into the kitchen, "What's happening?"

"Courtney was just showing me how she learned her alphabet in school." Casey answered.

Derek nodded in approval and walked over to ruffle Courtney's hair. Courtney looked up at her father with a toothy smile.

"That's my girl." Derek replied. "That's my girl."
