A/N: This is my first One Tree Hill. It's really short, it's what I call a drabble-y ficlet. More than a drabble (100 words) and less than a full one shot. I'm not sure what I think of it, but I have a few more OTH drabble-y ficlets ready to type and post. This would be set in the beginning of the new season (5). Enjoy! R&R. Thanks! –Mac

Disclaimer: I don't own OTH.

Empty

Lucas stared at the computer screen. He stared down at the blank word document so hard that it seemed he thought if he stared at it long enough words would miraculously fill the empty page.

Empty. Lucas paused as that thought crossed his consciousness. That was what he felt: empty. Before, his head had been full of words just waiting to be pieced together and put down on paper. Now there was nothing, just empty space.

He didn't know what had caused such a change in him. Or at least he didn't want to think about what could have caused such a change in him.

Lucas shook his head and pushed away from his desk. He felt disgusted by the way his mind was betraying him.

And the cursor continued to blink, so blatant on the empty page, taunting him.
