"My dad lost his job a few months ago then we lost our house so now we live in that motel in one room. Are you all happy? The truths finally out." Hope watched her best friend walk out of glee and felt a tear fall from her eye. Everyone sat in silence and without a warning Hope stood up and ran out of the room. When she had control over her body she pulled her phone out of her pocket and called the person she knew could help her.

"Hey Hope." Kelli answered and the red head told the story and asked her favor.

"I'll see what I can do." Came the reply. They said goodbye and Hope let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. A few days later Sam found her with a smile on his face.

"Hey guess what?" Sam asked almost jumping up and down.

"What?" Hope asked smiling at how cute he looked.

"My parents got jobs, really good jobs." Hope jumped with excitement and hugged him.

"That's awesome Sam!" Hope said walking with Sam down the hallway to his locker.

"Yeah it's really weird, but awesome at the same time?"

"Why weird?"

"'Cause it wasn't even a job they applied for. We got a phone call yesterday from a woman named Kelli who offered two great paying jobs in stuff they're qualified in." Sam explained.

"Huh, maybe they saw your parent's applications." Hope offered.

"Maybe, but now we can move back into our house and I can actually go to prom." Sam said pulling books out of his locker.

"Yay!" Hope replied feeling her heart drop a little at wondering who Sam was going to ask.

"Which reminds me, will you go with me?" Hope looked at Sam surprised.

"You mean as friends, right?" she asked confused.

"No, unless you don't like me that way." Sam looked at his shoes.

"In that case Srane I will go to prom with you." Sam smiled brighter than he already was which Hope didn't think was possible and grabbed Hope's hand to lead her to her class.
