"Nala?" I freeze, getting off of a very alive Simba. "Nala, it's me, Simba," I recognize him, then I ask something my mate would want to know.

"You've been alive all this time?" He nods. "Then I am going to have to ask you a few questions, on behalf of the pride," I lie easily. He nods again. "So say the Pridelands are bare, no plants, no herds, just the pride and the hyenas. Were you the king, would you move the pride? What would you do basically?"

"Kick out the hyenas," I blink.

"That's a really good idea," I roll my eyes.

The Next Day

I awake to feel a lion next to me who wasn't moving, or even breathing. I shift to look over, when I see a familiar scar on my mate's face.

"Nala? What are you doing out here?" Simba asks. I look up, fury in my eyes.

"You ARE a murderer!" I yell, bringing the pride out.

"He killed my father!" Simba roars at me.

"I don't care!" I roar back, crying." How could you do this?" I break down. How could he rip Taka out of his own cub's life?

"What do you mean?" I'm shaken back to the present. Sarabi comes over and asks me what was wrong. I sit up, revealing that I would be having a cub. The lioness looks at me with pity. "You're having a cub? With who?" Simba questions. "And I'm not a murderer if I left him to the hyenas," I snarl.

"How could you? How could you do it?" I snap. "And who do you think? I'm having my mate's cub," I state, as though it were obvious, which it was.

"Who would be?"

"Taka, son of Uru and Ahadi. Brother to King Mufasa, and known by most as Scar," I reveal.

"I pity you Nala," Simba claims.

"I don't need your pity, I need your apology!" I rant. "I'm not sorry to be having his cub. I'm only sorry you took him away from me!" I spat in my anger.

"Calm," A cough interrupts my mate's voice. "Down," My mate's voice comforts. I look over to find my mate was awake, and sitting up. I tackle him, licking his cheek. "Whoa, whoa, ow, ow, ow," I back off of my mate, but continue to lick his cheek.

"Taka! You're okay!" I smile.

"Yes, well, it'll take more than that to take me away from you," I purr, rubbing my head underneath his chin.

"How did you survive that fall?" Simba inquires.

"Easy. I, unlike you, have a mate I have to get back to every night," He nuzzles me, causing me to purr louder.

"Hakuna Matata," He says to calm himself. Taka looks at me.

"No worries," I translate for him. Taka nods. "He's saying it to calm down," He nods again. "Did I forget to mention that soon it won't be just a mate you need to get home too?" I tell him. His eyes widen and twinkle.

"Really?" I nod. "When did you learn this?"

"A few days ago, the day after I left," I continue to nod, smiling.
