This is my first fan fiction so please be nice so please rate and review

I awoke, my vision blurred as I looked around. A huge ravine loomed in front of me. A worried looking face came into view.

"Are you okay?" asked the face. As my vision returned to me I began to recognise the face that was speaking.

"Beetech, answer me, are you okay?" the face shouted.

I flinched "Kodak why do you have to shout, in my face?" I questioned her.

"Because you didn't answer my question" she replied. Kodak was a sky blue Pegasus with a blue main.

"Im fine Kodak, you know I always prepare fully for these tests." I answered.

"What were you testing now?" she asked

"I was trying to increase the propulsion in my wings, but apparently adding rockets doesn't fix these problems" I explained as I stood up. I was in a huge crater, and my rockets were nowhere to be seen. "Well we had better get back into town; you know what happened last time the weather patrol found me after a crash."

"You sure you'll be able to walk, I mean you leg looks weird." She said

"Huh" I looked down and sure enough my leg was bent at an angle that it wasn't supposed to be. "its okay I'll be able to fix it" I said as my horn glowed green, I concentrated on my broken leg and I winced as I felt the bone shift back into its correct position.

"It freaks me out every time you do that Beetech" Kodak complained

"I know but it needs to be done" I tested the leg "works fine, we need to get moving otherwise we wouldn't get back to ponyville in time."

"Why don't we just fly back, you said you needed to test your wings." She said

"I think I've tested them enough for one day" my horn glowed green as I picked the wings of my back and placed them into my saddlebag.

On the journey back to town, we stopped at a lake for a drink, as I bent down to get a drink I caught a glance of myself, of my yellow pelt and my yellow and blue mane, and my horn. I am a unicorn and I'm proud of it but I've always wanted to fly like the Pegasus's did, so I invented a pair of mechanical wings which I strap to my back which allows me to fly, but I'm always having problems with them.

As we set off again we could see the sun starting to set in the distance so we quickened our pace back to town.
