Authoress' Notes: this is, obviously totally AU to what we've been writing, pprbckwrtr, but it's been in my notebook since before you published "Private Concert" and about the same time I wrote, not published, "Interruptions". And, yes, my mind is a scary place to be.
Curiosity Killed The Lawyer.
A soft thud on her office's door drew DDA's Jillian Bernhard's attention, the slight darkening of the frosted crystal got her curiosity, so she stood and walked to said door, a soft unintelligible murmur threw a latch on her interest and so, she swiftly opened the door ending up with an armful of tense redhead and looking into the abnormally intense eyes of her boss, which didn't wave for a second burning into her retinas.
It was as if the time stood still for a moment; Cindy's frantic heart trying to beat its ways out of her chest and into Jill's, Denise practically stamped to the young reporter, eyes full of heat locked on Jill's, who could already feel the adrenaline shooting through her veins making her palms sweat and her heart start to beat along with Cindy's, the combined scent of their perfumes making her dizzy; her only explanation to her weakened knees.
And, as abruptly as it started it ended; Denise's eyes only leaving Jill's to throw another heated look at the redhead and then proceeded to leave; Cindy suddenly sagged against the blonde, who had to embrace her from behind to support her.
"Do I even wanna know what was that all about?" she almost whispered in her captive's ear.
"If I only knew." Was Cindy's weak answer before regaining her footing, taking a step forward and turning around she gave her friend an insecure smile and fled with a hasty Talk to you later; leaving Jill with the distinctive impression that something mayor had just transpired but incapable to really put her finger on it.
Nor an idea as to where to begin analyzing.
I'm Back:
Don't be gentle, hit me with both barrels.
