Grissom and Sara were busy with the baby's room preparations.
They were embracing the power model "We're-going-to-have-a-baby-We-don't-need-to-be-married-for-it".
GG: Can you imagine how her face is gonna look like?
SS: All the time. The eyes, The little arms. Everything. I cannot take this wait anymore.
Grissom rested his hand on top of her baby belly, He could feel the silk and feel bad because he couldn't touch anymore underneath that.
His eyes were getting unfocused and without that previous light that was on it before.
Sara noticed that something had gotten wrong.
SS: What's up?
GG: Nothing.
He said trying to take away that worried look that crossed her face.
She put down the clothes that she was folding to stare at him in the eyes.
GG: It's because I had a plan inside my head.
SS: What plan?
She asked with her arms crossed over her breasts.
GG: I was going to try and get you back. So we could be a family. But then you started telling everyone that you loved our lifestyle… I got scared.
SS: But I thought that…
He cut her off.
GG: I was insecure. If that plan didn't work… Our friendship. Every intimacy detail that we fought so hard to get. All that could go to waste. And I Just couldn't do that to Any.
Any was the name of their little girl.
Sara hit him. It wasn't supposed to be tough, but he felt it.
GG: Ouch, that hurt!
SS: Sorry, but you're an idiot! How come you ignored every step we been through? How come you did not telling me that you had feelings for me? How Grissom? How?
GG: You mean that… If I had taken my shot… You would've said yes?
SS: Is this plan something you wanted to do because you found out that I was pregnant?
GG: No, yes… I mean… I want you. The lab isn't the issue anymore. I'm learning how to communicate my feelings to you. We had found an intimacy that I wouldn't give up for anything in the world.
SS: You don't have to give up anything. We just have to build something bigger. I'm sure we can do that.
When He started to tell her about the plan he had. Grissom got scared, so he decided to look away. If she had said no it would be death to him. But she was willing to try.
SS: I can't believe that all these months we spent practically living together you didn't consider tell me about that!
GG: If you'd said no, I would be crushed. Our dynamic would be as well.
GG: I was scared. We're going to have a daughter. We had to be good friends. And I thought that…
SS: Did you love me?
GG: What?
SS: When you invented that crazy plan of yours. Did you think that you loved me. At least, give me this.
GG: Why is this question in the past tense?
SS: Could I use it in the present? Better yet… Can you?
GG: Yes, Dear. Of course I can. I Love you. I had always. I'm falling every single Day harder and harder for you.
Missing the eye contact with Grissom, Sara raised her head and the distance between them was really short.
The tension was palpable. He could see that she wouldn't make the move. It was his time. She was more afraid than He was. He felt it.
He couldn't care less for the consequences. He took her chin with his trembling hands and kissed her soft. Sara pulled him closer to her. The small moan that came from his throat told her how much he wanted this.
It provoke a smirked to fall form her busy lips.
The kiss was needed and curious. They were months without each other's touch. They wanted to remember every detail.
Relish on the delight of the pleasure that only their touches could provide.
They pulled off with need of air.
GG: So... Does this mean that I'm going to have it all?
Sara could ask what the hell did that mean. But she knew better.
SS: Yes sweet… We both are.
Sara rested her head on Grissom's arm while the sunset hit beautifully the sin city.
