Summary:
Relena at the beach. Post-series.
Notes:
Also for an RP app, figured I'd throw it up.
Relena stretched, hands reaching up towards the sun, digging her toes into the sand.
It was wonderful to get away from all her 'friends' for a few days. She'd have thought that—that sycophants wouldn't be such a problem, once she had given up her title. Her father had always garnered a lot of respect. She'd assumed, after everything that happened, that his status had more to due with his old connections to Sanq—but apparently foreign ministers—even vice ministers—garnered more respect from the public than she'd ever dreamed.
She wondered if her life seemed glamourous, from the outside. Groupies, business trips to the colonies— it could look easy, if you didn't live it. Relena sighed, looking back towards her shoes, left behind at the grass line. Living it was a lot more like a job that never quite finished, and always gave you jet lag.
Maybe Dorothy was right. Maybe she was still just a Princess, after all was said and done.
She looked down at the cuffs of her pants, wet and covered in sand. Princess or not, she had a plane to catch.
And
even Princesses had to go through customs.
