A/N: Hello lovelies! Thank you for taking the time to read my first fanfic. I'm no great writer, but since 3x17 I've had this alternate ending in my head. What Chuck did was wrong on so many levels and I guess I wanted my Queen back, albeit a dark one. Enjoy!

Set to 'Paradise Circus' by Massive Attack. Amazing song. (You may recall it from 3x21.)

P.S. Just briefly, I was curious about the lyric 'she will love you like a fly will never love you again'. I read up and it references the German proverb "In times of need, even the devil eats flies", meaning beggars can't be choosers. So essentially the lyric is saying she will fill your need for love, and you will never be without again.

It's unfortunate that when we feel a storm

"Chuck would never do this to me."

"If you don't believe me, check his credit card receipts. I'm sorry Blair. Just be grateful one of the Bass men has some moral integrity. Although if you're interested in some revenge sex… I'd be more than happy to oblige."

We can roll ourselves over cause we're uncomfortable

Blair turned, bracing herself against the lounge.

"So now you know…" He sauntered toward her. "This is Chuck, it always has been. Everything for tender," he chuckled softly. "This love you have for him... it's too pure, you see," his hand slipped around her hair. "You're not like us, underneath it all." His fingers trailed down her neck. She jolted, spinning to face him.

Oh when the devil makes us sin, but we like it when we're spinning in his grin

Her lips were tight, but those eyes were pools, and they gave her away. Lovely, he mused. Heartbreak became her, enhanced her beauty. "So you're broken. He wins. You take him back, because you're not strong enough, or you end it, and crawl away the wounded creature. Either way, he wins." He held her chin, resisted her attempt to pull away. "Or you take this moment, Blair. Change the game. He sold you to the Devil." He leaned forward. "So raise hell." She twisted from his grasp. "I'm giving you the reigns, princess. You have the contract. You have the hotel. You have me." He raised an eyebrow, strode back to the pool table. "What happens next is up to you."

The past few days came back to her in sickening detail. She remembered the ease of Chuck's words, his feigned distress. "Nothing I would ever consider." She loved him. She had trusted him. He had taken that trust and manipulated her every move. Blair Waldorf, a Queen made pawn.

"Give me the contract."

Her eye caught the candlelight.

Love is like a sin, my love, for the ones who feel it the most

The flames crept up the papers, licking the words. In those flames she gave her devotion, her yearning, her sacrifice, and her love. She gave the flames Chuck and Blair, Blair and Chuck. She watched, felt a new surging within. It howled and raged. It would destroy them all.

He offered a glass. "A toast?"

Her eyes, when they lifted, seemed darker. If nothing else, things were about to become very, very interesting.

"To a new game."

The flutes chimed.

Look at her with her eyes like a flame, she will love you like a fly will never love you again
