"Matt what time did the man say he would be here?" Emily asked as she moved about the kitchen putting away dishes.

"He said 15 to 20 minutes. He also apologized for the inconvenience." Matt said as he typed away at his laptop.

Emily laughed "The only inconvenience is once the dogs gone our son is gonna want a dog again."

Matt laughed as he shook his head.

"At least it's a nice dog and it looks like he's been trained well." Emily stated as she dried her hands off.

"Mom! Dad! Look!"

Matt and Emily turned as Tim came into the kitchen followed by the dog.

Tim turned towards the dog "Okay boy Sit,Paw,Roll over."

Emily and Matt smiled as the dog obeyed their son's commands.

"That's really nice Tim but don't get to attached his owner should be here soon to pick him up."As soon as she finished her sentence the door bell rang.

"Oh that must be him now." Emily said as she and Matt made their way to the front door.

Emily stood by the banister as Matt opened the door to a tall man in a black coat.

"Hi are you the Smith Family? I'm John Riley. I'm here to pick up my dog Bear. I hope he didn't cause you or your family any trouble?" John asked.

"Yes we are and no he didn't, your dog is very well behaved." Matt replied.

John watched as the family's son held onto Bears collar as he walked him to the door.

"Here you go mister he was really good." Tim mumbled sadly as he petted Bear.

John gave a soft smile as Bear licked the boys hand as he walked out onto the stoop.

"Bye Bear I hope you find what you were looking for" Tim stated as he waved to Bear.

"Looking for?" John replied confused.

"Oh yes I think he was looking for someone or something he stood at our door for 5 minutes whining before we let him in, when he got in he looked confused and started sniffing around the house.I think he was a little disappointed when he didn't find what he was looking for." Emily replied as she saw the look of confusion on the man's face.

John looked down at Bear and nodded with understanding.

"Yes we knew the family that use to live here, he must have forgot she's not here anymore." John said with a sad smile.

"Well thank you for taking care of my dog I hope you all have a wonderful evening." John stated as he turned to leave.

"You too sir" Matt replied as the all bid the man goodbye and closed the door.

John made his way down the steps of the brownstone and towards his parked car as he tapped his ear piece.

"I found him Harold he was at her house again it looks like a new family moved in." John stated as he opened the car door.

"I see I'm still amazed he remembers how to get to her house still." Finch replied.

"I'm not. He misses her and wants to see her again." John replied back softly as he slide into the driver's seat.

Harold keep quite at John's reply, realizing he most assuredly wasn't just referring to Bear.

"I'm keeping Bear with me tonight. I'll drop him off in the morning," John stated as he pulled away from the sidewalk .

"Very well, I'll see you both in the morning," Finch replied as he disconnected the call.

As John sat at the red-light he looked in the rear-view mirror and saw Bear laying down with a sad look in his eyes that mirrored his own.

John let out a sigh as he looked at Bears somber demeanor "How about we go take her some flowers Bear. Do you think she would like that?"

John let a small smile move across his face as he watched as Bear sit up and wag his tail.

"Okay boy we'll go take Joss some flowers."
