Rumpelstiltskin was a man who liked to be close to fire: first, for its comfort and warmth and later, after he'd found his courage, and magic, for its strength and power. He'd always detested cold and so had little use for snow. But that had been before he'd seen her in it.
Belle loved snow. Her smile had always moved his heart, but somehow, she seemed to actually sparkle with the snow, especially when she fed the birds. Gold sighed, tossed the feathered creatures another bag of feed, and went back into his shop. The woman had changed him forever.
