"What is wrong, Miss Elizabeth, you are not your usual bright and shiny self, is she, Ciel?" Soma said.
Elizabeth murmured a soft "good morning" as she sat down at the table. Turning to the prince, she said softly, "Nothing…"
"Elizabeth?" Ciel looked over his tea cup at her.
"I'm fine…"
"But you do not sound fine. Tell your 'big brother' and I will fix it."
"Well…" she began, "I had a horrible dream last night, thank you," the last said to the two butlers, who were waiting on them. Agni handed her a cup of tea while Sebastian saw to it her breakfast was served.
"What happened?" Soma asked when it became apparent that Ciel was not interested.
"I dreamed I was a bunny and…" Elizabeth burst into tears, her breakfast untouched.
"Awww… you poor thing. It must have been terrible."
"It was!" she wailed.
"Idiot! You've made her cry!" The young earl glared at the prince. Turning his attention to his fiancée, he said, "Don't cry, Elizabeth, it's just a dream."
She hiccupped and wiped dainty at her tears as she tried to stop.
"Everyone has bad dreams, so do not worry. I remember I once had a bad dream when I was very little. I dreamt I was getting eaten by a tiger."
Elizabeth's eyes grew wide. "Really?"
Soma nodded. "My older brothers told me the tiger, who was… well, the tiger ate naughty little boys. I was rather naughty that day too. I remember throwing rotten mangos at my brother Debden because my grandfather was going hunting with him." Soma laughed and Elizabeth giggled. "So tell me, has my little friend Ciel ever done anything naughty?"
She proceeded to tell him every incident she was aware of, sparing no details, much to the young Phantomhive's chagrin.
