A Simple Plan
Isabel Night
It really is a simple plan if you stop and think about it. All we have to do is kill those five Ronin brats, Kayura, that girl, that pathetic boy-child, and kidnap Anubis. It's not like this is a new type of mission that Dais dreamed up overnight, in fact, killing and kidnapping missions aren't new to us at all.
If followed correctly, everything will work out. Anubis will once again be our leader, and Kayura will be dead along with those five Ronins brats. Hopefully, they'll kill each other so Dais, Sekhmet, and I won't have to bother messing up our weapons. With those six dead and Anubis captured, we'll finish off those two pathetic mortals at our leisure. On paper, it's a very simple, routine plan. However, this "simple" plan ran into some "problems" along the way.
The first problem was when Kayura poured that abhorrent gold powder on us. I really don't remember what happened, but I do remember the three of us getting dragged unconscious back to Master Talpa's castle. The next problem came when our four prisoners broke out of their cells in the castle dungeons and defeated us at the castle docks with the help of our third problem, the lack of what the mortals call "up-to-date-intelligence reports". After losing my battle with Torrent, thanks to the light of the damnable staff that once belonged to that blasted monk, the Ancient One, I went back to my barracks office only to have a soldier come in with what the mortals call an "Intelligence Report". The soldier told me what I already knew, the "traitor" Anubis had come to the Nether Realm with the girl and boy-child. The mortals would probably call this an "Intelligence Failure", but I didn't get as angry as I normally would about the lack of timing.
A few minutes ago, we were summoned by Master Talpa to help stop the Ronins from attacking the castle. We knew that Anubis was in the city as well, but thankfully, we're able to concentrate on Anubis since Badamon has promised to take care of the Ronins. In the Throne Room, we eagerly petitioned Talpa to send us after Anubis. Our master agreed and told us that when we caught him, we could do whatever we wished with him. Dais smiled as we left, knowing that Anubis would soon be on the receiving end of the new brainwashing drug he and Sekhmet had developed.
So now we are making our way towards Anubis, from what we can sense, his aura is telling us that he is in the abandoned part of the city. We can still feel and recognize his presence, so we don't need anyone to guide us to our prey. Soon, everything will fall into place and Anubis will be our leader again. Everything is going the way it should be. It's all going according to plan. Nothing can possibly go wrong, right?
THE END
