Well, I kinda owe IA a fic, seeing how I promised her Danny. We didn't see him in 1x08 so now she's all upset. Hope this cheers you up!

Mama I'm Alright
For an entire day, Danny Matheson couldn't be touched. He had been tortured for so long that Rachel finally said enough. She would willingly get the lights back on if the militia backed off of her son for a day. Luckily for him, they had another poor boy to torture, to make up for Danny's absence.
Rachel had to keep herself from cradling her baby. She sat back and watched him as he paced around the room like a tiger on a prowl. His blue eyes were guarded. The Matheson boy didn't know what was going on, and he probably didn't want to know.
Danny told Neville time and time again that he really didn't want to spend time with his mother. She left them when he was a small boy. She was responsible for his kidnapping, and his father's death. And for the bruises and other wounds in unmentionable places…
"Danny," Rachel finally spoke up, her blue eyes growing wide as her son cowered at the sudden voice. "Danny, baby, why don't you sit down next to me?"
The teenager shook his head, mumbling something incoherently as he brought his arms tighter around himself. As he looked over at his mother, their identical eyes locking, he added quietly, "because you're not my mother."
The older Matheson felt like she was just stabbed in the gut. Not his mother? How could he think such a thing? "Danny—Danny I know that I haven't been around for so many years, but I did what I had to, to keep you safe."
"Well maybe I don't want you keeping me safe anymore. Charlie was the only one who looked after me, and now she's not here. And…" Danny chewed on his lip, his eyes watering up, "then Neville took care of me, but now I'm being beaten because you won't talk."
Rachel reached out for her son's hand, but he quickly moved away from her as he started making his rounds through the room again. "Daniel, you have to know that mommy loves you. You must know that."
Danny stopped dead in his tracks and looked over at his mother. "Then why didn't you stop Strausser? Why didn't you stop Richards? Why—" the blonde clenched a fist, tears falling freely down his young face, "why didn't you stop tell them from killing dad?"
The elder Matheson had to hold back a sob as she got up from her couch. "Let me make it up to you now, Danny! Please!"
Her son shook his head. "No. I'm nowhere near being fine where I'm at, but I'm alright when I'm not around you."
She watched in horror as the young boy stalked over to the door and began pounding on it, hollering for them to let him out. The door opened and, much to his relief, it was Neville standing on the other side.
Neville was the hero in his mind, not Rachel. He could never be that maternal figure that he needed, but he was something.
Rachel couldn't keep her sobs in any longer as the door shut. Her baby boy had walked away from her, just like she walked away from him fifteen years ago. The mother walked over to her table where her detailed sketches of the pendants were laid out. She sucked in a weak breath of air and plopped down at the chair, rubbing her temples wearily.
What would Ben say, Rachel? Hell, what would Charlie think? She always looked up to you, her subconscious sneered. The blonde sighed as the door opened again. She didn't need to look around before she heard her name being called. It was about time for a visit from Bass anyway…
And that's where the last scene picks up. So there you go, IA, he was with his mom up until the end of the ep. Ya'll know what to do!
